I think we may go 4-2-3-1 depending on summer spending. The 3 being Olise, Eze and Zaha with Mateta/Eduoard up top

I'm not convinced Eze will thrive centrally as a 10 - for all his talent, his final ball/decision making can be a bit wasteful, and I'm not convinced how adept he is at receiving the ball in tight spaces back to goal.

His best attribute is certainly his ball-carrying, but he'd have limited opportunity to use that as a 10.

I disagree on a number of counts.

First up is the managers job. In a results business it's about picking the best team available to you. If Gallagher is available, he should play. We are paying for him after all.

Secondly, there is no similarity between Eze and Gallagher in terms of playing style. PV's game plan to date has included Gallagher. To accommodate Eze would require a different approach.

I get the argument about the only way Eze can get back to true full fitness is by getting game time. But that has to be earned. PV sees him in training every day and that informs his selection decisions. I think he needs to continue to be handled with care after the injury he had. He'll benefit from a proper Pre Season in the summer.

sure, it's a results business.

I'm looking at this as a project.. the term everyone likes to use with PV. It's no secret a lot of people just wanted to stay up this year.. so for us to beat Burnley, goes a long way to cement this. Then, we can look at next year.

I am thinking, ok, we have this amazing player, but we lose him in 11 games - so if we look at the long term project, we need to prepare for life without him - how do we do that. We need to set up now, how we would like to next year, start the process. Then we can see what we need to buy this summer, if at all.

I dunno, it seems a no brainer to me, to phase him out, rather than keep him til the end then tinker in the summer with friendlies.

He genuinely seems to enjoy his time with Palace and his post match interviews are a delight. Last night's joint interview with Guehi is a gem.

Great footballer and a lovely bloke. Boy, we're going to miss him.

Blows as many kisses to the fans when he scores as Mark Lazarus.

i do not understand your comments at all, he is the best passer at the club with the best vision, he has great upper strength, i think all he needs is game play, why do you think he will get limited opportunity's to run with the ball, he will find space easily in that role, that's what he was picked for for

I think Gallagher is going to have some big discussions this summer.
He and his family are Chelsea through and through, I would think he really wants to make it at Chelsea, but it’s obvious he loves football and just wants to play.

Vieira would sign him in a heartbeat if he could if Chelsea would be prepared to sell. Does he go back, risk maybe playing a bit part, or give up the dream and play every week for Palace.

I think unless TT says he has no chance, he'll give it a year. He'd regret it for the rest of his life if he didn't give it a try.

I do think he will struggle there though, for all his strengths he's not a ball player, nor does he control a game. And as we have seen of late, if he doesn't score, we start to question what he's been doing.

Sounds more critical than I meant it, but the Chelsea standard is so high.

With CG (especially when coupled with Jimmy Mac) we win the ball back more often & further up the pitch than I can ever remember a Palace team doing.

I think when Boris starts selling Chelsea's assets, 1 million should be engough to get him.

Losing Conor will be tough but PV needs to play his best team to give us the best possible chance of winning each game. And at the moment I'd imagine Conor Gallaghers name is one of the first on his teamsheet. Eze has to compete hard in training to convince PV to pick him, thats how it works.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea have any more problems now the uk gov are going for the Russian banks and oligarchs. Roman Abramovich had had his visa revoked even before this war kicked off. Perhaps he may be forced to sell Chelsea? Who knows
