A few points:
1) If we play like this, we have a lively future even without Gallagher. We'll miss his nose for the scrappy goal, however.
2) Mitchell played excellent football except for 5 critical seconds
3) Was PV saving Will Hughes for Watford? I doubt MacArthur will recover by Wednesday.
4) The goal was entirely Mitchell's fault, but I don't recall goals going between Guaita's legs. Although many criticize VG's instinct of going to his knees, it's effective.
5) Kouyate played one of his best matches, except for the moment where he dithered in front of our goal.
6) PV must be wondering how to utilize Eze. I'd have put him ahead of Schlupp in today's lineup. Neither offers much defense, and EE is more dangerous in attack.

I’m worried but I think this coming week is massive! 4-6 points and we’re safe, two defeats and relegation is a possibility!

It is always a possibility but it is extremely unlikely. I'm more concerned that Olise might be targeted by the parasitic top four in the Summer. He is gold dust at the moment. Oh to have a clinical finisher at the end of his wonderful crosses.

Interesting to note that it took Vieira 10 minutes to respond to Chelsea's substitutions, bringing on Eze on the 85th minute, replacing Ayew, and a few minutes later the Chelsea man was given the freedom of the park by two Palace players to put over the cross. Both Palace players stood off and allowed him to cross. Real serious tactical naivety all round.

One real serious mistake ..by Mitchel, stop panicking yourself and us because you've no need to.

I share the view that it was a mistake to bring on Eze as a late sub instead of , say, Hughes.

For all his silky skills, Eze is incapable of challenging opponents , let alone tackling them. Sometimes he just trots alongside them.

Hughes would have brought energy, tenacity and commitment, and we would have secured at least a draw.

One other thing.

PV seems to lack touchline motivation skills. I would rather have Shaun Derry on the touchline (or perhaps we could borrow Pulis or Dowie on match days).

I didn't expect a single thing today, the fact that at the end we should have informs me we are a lot better then even I thought.

Eze wasn't anywhere near Mitchel, nor was he supposed to be.
