Just to be contentious, I'd suggest that The Godfather is first and foremost about family. A mafia family, 'tis true, but essentially about family all the same. Still one of the best films ever made, though. Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Just to be contentious, I'd suggest that The Godfather is first and foremost about family. A mafia family, 'tis true, but essentially about family all the same.

Still one of the best films ever made, though.
