Lot of talk on here about the problems their big players will cause at set pieces, but they won’t fancy being up against us going forward. Draw is likely but I think we’ll kick on from last night. 3-2 Palace.

Earlier in the season would have fancied an easy win. Of course we play them when they're half decent. Very hard to call. Draw would probably suit both.
As stated, we still look dodgy from the most basic corners. Butland looked the same as Guiata at claiming them last night. Really thought we would have worked on this: I think we can guarantee Burnley are.
2 all.

Last night will have boosted confidence and despite Burnley's last few days they are not a good team.
Palace to run out 2-1 winners in a dour and tight game

I'll go with an audacious 2-0 victory for the Palace.

All the obvious and very valid concerns are there but the team will be on a high following Watford so hope we'll just be what we are on paper, on the day... the better team.

My sentiments would be entirely different were we say, hypothetically, 17th in the table within 1 or 2 points off Burnley.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Burnley have finally hit some form and the game will be challenging.
However, following a fantastic performance last night, confidence will be sky high and think we can win this one,2-1.

I predicted 2-0 to Watford with two breakaway goals. So got to stick with that and go 2-0 Burnley but with two set piece goals. Seriously, I find reasons to believe we will lose every game, always thrilled when we win.

One of the best set piece defenders I have seen for heading the Ball out in the premier is Benteke.
Now I’m not a big fan of Christian up front but when he comes back into defence for corners and set pieces, he is the man.
I’ve come to the conclusion that PV is a master of squad rotation after last night so maybe it’s a move he may consider.
If we can stop them at set pieces then I’ll give it 3-0 Palace

I was about to post exactly this and predict that Benteke will replace Mateta until at least 60 -70 mins and only replaced if we go behind. I expect a tight game with both sides happy with a draw.

just find Eze a place in the team. Too good to sit on bench.
Otherwise he will be off followed by Zaha and the 'class' will be ebbing away. Let's keep the class of '22 happy otherwise teams like Everton and Newcastle will be knocking on the door and we will be back to the football we had for 4 years, yawn, yawn

I keep having a hunch that we will win 2-0 but then I think about Burnley's strengths and our weaknesses.Confused mind, nothing new.

A fully match fit Eze is indeed too good to sit on the bench, but sorry, he isn't yet (IMO) a fully match fit player. Vieira has said several times he rates Eze but that the player will take a while to get back to his best and we all need to be patient. I suspect Eze will get a good run out next Tuesday in the Cup. If so, that will give us an idea where he's currently at.

Inspired by my prediction for the Watford game;

Bad feeling about This game...Got 0-0 written all over it - with a very nervous last 15.

well it worked then, no reason I should change it!
