Ok, We weren’t great against Stoke. We’re a couple of signings away from being a really decent side - for a “transitional season” I’d say we’re doing pretty darn well. Massive plus is that we’re much better to watch these days (the players have really seemed to be enjoying themselves in some games) and our improvement under PV is clear in my opinion.

My concern about the transition is that normally the performances we’re getting now would be at the beginning of the transition and those we got back in October (I think) would be the ones we’re getting now. So it seems like in a way we’re going backwards. That coupled with bizarre team selections and subs have left me a bit concerned going forward. However, it is undoubtedly the most I’ve enjoyed palace in a long time so something is obviously going right too!

I never believed that we would be on a constant upward trajectory and stated many times on HOL that I expected 'Bumps in the road' on our journey.

We have heard the narrative of Eze being eased back due to his injury. I have overheard people express the view that even if Eze's career had not experienced a setback due to his injury he would not be a regular in Vieira's team as he simply does not fit into the way PV wants to play and he prefers other players in positions where Eze at his strongest or indeed does not play a formation which suits Eze. I full expect bids for Eze in the summer window.
