Only 52.

RIP Warnie

What a shock. Too many men are going in their middle age, and like a lot here I'm one too.

RIP and look after yourselves.

He gave a bowling masterclass on Sky, for a non cricketer like me it was fascinating as he explained how he was trying to move the batsman around.

The batsman even knew what he was trying to do but was pretty powerless to stop him.

He never minded being hit for boundaries it was singles he hated. His strategy was to trap the batsman at one end pouring on the pressure until the guy made a mistake. The last thing he wanted was the batsman sprinting down the other end for a single as he would have top start over with the other batsman.

So the secret to playing Warner was tip and run, easier said than done of course.

Well-known to have led quite an intense lifestyle away from cricket. Certainly bowled a few maidens over, including Liz Hurley.
Well-played Warney, but it's HOWZAT !! from the guy upstairs.

And he's younger than me too !

Fair to say Australia is in shock, our papers full of Rod Marsh yesterday and before I finished reading about Rod, the news about Warnie came to light.

I could watch Warnie bowl all day, and he often did.

A quickly put together tribute TV show today showed photograph of Warnie with the the likes of Elton John, Mick Jagger, Ed Sheehan, Chris Martin, Queen Elizabeth, Boris Johnson, Michael Johnson, Michael Hutchence among others. He could connect with everybody whether famous or not.

A state funeral has already been offered and the MCG Southern Stand is to be renamed the S.K. Warne Stand.

An enormous loss, RIP Warnie.

I don’t think anyone can believe it, my wife text me he’d died, I text back saying she had it wrong, that it was another Aussie cricketer Rod Marsh!! I was So shocked when realising she was right.

Even though after watching him tie our batsmen in knots back in his prime, as an Englishman, you couldn’t help but admire what he did with the ball
