In the morning boil an egg in a sauspan and make a cup of tea with the left over water. Saves boiling the kettle.

Rotten tasting tea though!

I bought one 300gm pack of blueberries instead of two 150gm packs yesterday. Saved me 50p - Fab!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Snap!

I've been paying £2000 for the last 2 years to get it paid off. They sent me a letter saying 'You are in the final two years of your mortgage please indicate how you intend to pay your balance of £0.'

I replied saying I would write them a cheque for £0!

I've just bought an electric radiator for a small room to give it a go. I've got 13 so an electric boiler is a no go. If it works I may go 50/50 electric and a new gas boiler.

I've also purchased some insulation board for the dormer which currently only has roof tiles and the plastic.

I've investigated all of the current options for replacing a gas boiler and none work for the house I have without considerable disruption. So I'm going to replace the old gas boiler with a higher tech one that integrates with the nest.

I believe that eventually we will convert from natural gas to hydrogen, but it may take 10/20 years and will be a gradual process. We will need new boilers and other products. Cookers/fires etc.

I'm supposed to be retiring early but may have to delay that thanks to putin.

I've reduced the Butler's, Chef's and housemaid's working hours to 35 a week.

Why worry about TODAY when TOMORROW will be even worse.

At the rapid rate Mrs POG consumes them, yes, I'm sure they will.

But I do get your point Badger. No point buying more than you can easily get through before little bits of green stuff start appearing.

I have said this before get yourself some radiator reflectors especially if your rads on on an outside wall.

It's a cheap as chips and easy to install provided you can use a pair of scissors. I have saved myself a lot over the years.

There are different types but below is an example most good DIY stores will stock them.

Want to save on razor blades?

A simple trick, most men throw them away when the lubrication strip starts to wear down, don't.

Wet the razor and dribble oil e.g. baby oil on the blade it will act like the strip. I normally would change my blade once a week with this trick I can make it last at least 1 month. Any oil will do as long as it can be applied to the skin but don't use your missus best.
