In future I will be adopting this method of debt delay as approved by HMG. If there is a change of government, and I do not approve of the new regime, I will not pay a penny of my debts. If they come for me I will delay in the courts for 40 years, although by then I will be deceased anyway. So I won't in fact, pay them at all.

So why should you care? Good points. The true answer of course would be wishing to avoid yet another flash point that leads to world war. The Israelis own the US state and until that hostage is released....which even with a western economic collapse is unlikely (though it could happen) then we kind of want to avoid being fried.
