Still a noteworthy point IMHO.

France have the likes of Mbappe and co. so to be in their U21's no mean feat. Good for the club in any instance to have players operating at national level. Also, Olise, Gallagher and Guehi are all Vieira signings unless there are caveats there? Again bodes well for the future.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

So pleased for him, and not surprised. Unfortunate it's a friendly, as I want him declared for England.

Only yesterday I was reading up on him, and was surprised by two things, firstly his name is actually Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guéhi, and secondly, he was born in Ivory Coast.

Sky Sports suggest Olise was close to a call up, despite his French U21 call up. He's definitely good enough for England, and unlike Guéhi, he was actually born in England. England have always struggled for left-footed players! We need him.

Finally, I agree that Mitchell is unlucky. There's not an anti-palace agenda - why would there be? It's not like we're in the Champions League or anything. But I'd be surprised if there are two better left-backs at the moment.

It's a bit before my time, but were Geoff Thomas and John Salako ever in the same England squad? Or with Nigel Martyn?

When was the last time 'Crystal Palace' was written next to the names of two squad members?

probably due to pay Chelsea some extra money for Marc getting an England cap. Oh dear, we are not allowed to. What a shame!

I think (though may be wrong) that once Wright, Martyn, Geoff Thomas and Andy Gray all made the same England squad.

Meant Salako rather than Andy Gray.

Hahaha. Hadn't thought of that.

I keep thinking of Chelsea as being like Dr Faustus. They sold their soul for two decades of riches and now their day of reckoning approaches.

I don't get very excited about international matches, but obviously pleased for them both. I hope it will help make us a more attractive club for future recruitment - two players making the squad in their first season with us is pretty impressive

You know how it is, an England manager couldn’t possibly call up 3 palace players, I expect it’s hurt having to pick Marc and Conor

We have had 4 players in the same England squad in the past.

Mitchells time will come, bit early to throw him into full England squad.

Chelsea will get whatever punishment comes to them. I’m not rejoicing in their current hardship though. We’ve done well out of their loan players, we were happy to take them in full understanding of Chelsea’ set up and funding, and without Conor this season we wouldn’t be where we are now.

Tyrick's time will come. The longer he's out of the spotlight, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Fully deserved and seems such a modest and confident young man.

Been very good most of the season and outstanding over the last few weeks.
