Gravy is often the deal-breaker. The meat can be puurfect, but watery instant gravy can ruin the event.

Being in my early 30’s I will take it upon myself to speak for a generation. Yes, the answer is yes, just them. It’s a bit like saying “my friends eat cereal but without milk”. Any suggestion of a roast without gravy should warrant appropriate, professional, psychiatric intervention.
