I have a distinct memory of putting the game on the radio after coming home late, with only a few mins to go, and hearing the commentator gushing about a late goal from a Marci Reich! I hung my head in despair having never heard of him, let alone that we'd signed him and indeed won the match! I think I also recall he had a solitary German Cap, which for me, at the time, made him a God amongst men in our team! That's probably his most famous moment for us.

Wish he'd stayed longer The G.O.A.T.: Has to be Wilf, surely? He's long dethroned AJ for me (in my lifetime). Fav player: I had a soft spot for Andy Linighan but it's got to be Freedman. Disliked: Won't say his name, striker, loaned from city by Pardew.. expensive loser. Grew on me: Speroni Overrated: Has to be AWB, that price tag was not justified, seemed a nice guy though. Underrated: Kouyate - immense player. GOAT: I think Martyn was a champion all rounder...
