All of these problems will evaporate when nations get serious about this problem. The whole process needs to be much more efficient and smart.
It's no good people like Wisbech telling us why things can't be
done.
We need people who can make it happen. If laws and red tape are the problem, then they have to be changed.
This issue is too serious for it to continue as it has done.

Then you are going to have to convince enough people to agree with your views, and be prepared to defend what the consequences of them would be, because they would all be exposed.

These are problems we cannot solve on our own, and anything we are able to do will never satisfy someone whose approach is as extreme as yours. You are destined to stay angry and frustrated until you come to terms with the fact that we now live in a changed and changing world. One in which movements of people are going to be a constant, which will be exacerbated by the effects of climate change. We either adapt to that fact, and manage it effectively, or we waste time and energy trying to fight it.

But the 'nations' allow it. That is the point. If they wanted to stop it, they would. Instead they don't. They encourage it. Look back to the removal of Gaddafi. That opened up Europe to mass migration from Africa. And for what? A deliberate, NATO led, action that caused nothing other than mayhem and chaos. Deliberately causing instability and encouraging people smugglers, of every kind to act. Followed by Syria and numerous other conflicts, all of which have been deliberately orchastrated by both Western and Israeli interference.

This current proposal is all froth. The institutions in the UK simply will not do what their political masters tell them to do anyway and every obstacle will be put in the way, giving the Tories an excuse to hold their hands up and say that at least we tried.

What we have witnessed since 2011 has been deliberate and top-led. None of this is accidental.

As expected there are basically three types of opinion on this topic

1) Something needs to be tried to deter the people smuggling trade

2) The UK should allow everyone who wants to move to the UK, in other words open borders

3) A few who simply opine nonsense depending how the wind is blowing.

To many it wouldn't matter where the offshore processing took place as they believe in open borders and unlimited migration into the UK.

The question that can never be answered is that if someone is coming from France they are voluntarily leaving a safe country.

This will continue to be a polarising issue with no solution acceptable to the majority

UK condemning Rwanda July 2021:-

A statement by the UK’s international ambassador for human rights Rita French in July 2021 expressed “regret” that Rwanda was not conducting “transparent, credible and independent investigations into allegations of human rights violations including deaths in custody and torture”.

She added: “We were disappointed that Rwanda did not support the UK recommendation to screen, identify and provide support to trafficking victims, including those held in government transit centres.”

Number from Rwanda:-

UK to send asylum seekers to Rwanda despite granting the past decade, with 69 given asylum or humanitarian protection between 2011 and 2021.

Digging up history is disrespectful to Rwanda which more recently has become a place of refuge for various groups including Afghan girls to start a school that was denied by the Taliban.

You simply disagree with everything this govt does as an ideology.

I disagree with lot they do but am adult enough to give credit when good things are done.

"I automatically assume these days that any government policy is dishonest immoral but mostly, just will not work." you wrote.

This would include furlough payments, vaccination program and aid to Ukraine.

Possibily. But since there is no logical explanation for what happened in Libya, I can only actually assume that the chaos and mayhem was created deliberately.

Why destroy a stable country, with whom the West had started to enjoy good relations? For what purpose? Especially given that you had nothing to replace it?

All the past focus is on Iraq. And with good reason. But for my Libya has been far more instrumental in shaping much of what Europe faces today. Regime change in both Libya, and then later on the attempt to do similar in Syria, only makes sense if you accept that the desired outcome WAS chaos and mayhem.

Occam's razor and all that.

Why does it take six weeks to get to Gatwick from the Kent coast? I appreciate that all the roads are blocked by lorries but isn't there a train from Brighton?

But if you're wearing red and blue, you are herded onto the next train to Birmingham by the police
