Then you are going to have to convince enough people to agree with your views, and be prepared to defend what the consequences of them would be, because they would all be exposed.

These are problems we cannot solve on our own, and anything we are able to do will never satisfy someone whose approach is as extreme as yours. You are destined to stay angry and frustrated until you come to terms with the fact that we now live in a changed and changing world. One in which movements of people are going to be a constant, which will be exacerbated by the effects of climate change. We either adapt to that fact, and manage it effectively, or we waste time and energy trying to fight it.

You need to think about the consequences if we carry on as we are.
Britain can lead the way in finding a practical, workable solution to this problem. If it can be made to work, then others will follow.

There may well be, but it won't be one that satisfies you because what you see as the "problem", others don't.

There is a problem with illegal, unmanaged immigration via the activities of criminal gangs. Getting control of that is hard enough. Achieving what you seem to want is neither practical nor, ultimately, either necessary or desirable.

What I want is to protect the security, safety and resources of the people of Britain.
The quality of life depends on these factors. You seem to think that we can continue to invite more and more people to well, and it will all be OK.

It won't.

You only have to look at what is happening right now to see where this is going.

Housing, crime, health, the cost of living. It's all going south

Breaking the law ? who would even think such a thing ?

Luckily, our legal advisor (BJ) thinks it would be legally fully compliant.

"Boris Johnson has said he believes the scheme complies with international law.", say the man recently fined for Covid rule-breaking

All to do with immigration

Nothing to do with austerity measures introduced in 2008 onwards. Nor the banking crisis, covid, Brexit, climate change or international political uncertainty

You offer conclusive proof that nothing that is even remotely possible will ever satisfy you. Not only that, you blame everything you don't like on "immigration".

You are like an old 45 record stuck on a song from the 60s. The attitudes you display are identical to those I heard as a young man from the older generation back then.

The world has changed, whether you like it, or can accept it, you really must come to terms with that. It's not going to reverse direction. The UK might have detached itself from the EU, but it cannot detach itself from the world.

If you find the environment of where you live no longer suits you, then change where you live. The answer to your personal circumstances lies in your own hands, but you don't have the responsibility for, or power over, anything else.

I'd say the majority will see this as a positive attempt to deter traffickers and illegals.

Yes I am a 'normal' voter. You will never admit it, because you don't see it, but the views you express are outside the mainstream. Its you right to have them and express them, but you blame everything on migrants. Priti Patel like BJ is a populist and you are their target audience.

The UN is not impartial it is a political forum used by many countries to brow beat the west. Take a look at which countries sit on the Human Right council, a joke.

I am not convinced that this is a good plan but neither do I pay attention to the UN and their claims of international law. We are governed in this country by our laws and whatever international treaties we have signed. We can withdraw from those treaties if we choose as for "international law" it is a gray area not properly defined or even signed up to Human Rights lawyers are always trying to extend it.

Dear oh dear. Make your mind up.

I dare say there are people in big cities who are okay with this either for now until they are the minority, or maybe forever, come what may. There are then those who’ve moved out or have always lived away from densely populated areas and want to remain the majority, and then a few of your Wisbech types who are so far removed from it with their ideology they’ll never experience any of the negatives. There are positives, but we’ve gone in so heavy the negatives are outweighing the positives.

It won’t matter once we’re dead or dying because the younger generations will believe (been influenced by liberal brainwashing in schools) that everything is great. If that were true I’d agree. When they’re in shorts it won’t matter to them the problems they’ll experience achieving a fraction of their grandparents. Well it won’t to the more fortunate. Privileged they call it now. Privileged to not have to share with a teenage sibling of the opposite sex with every house split up will be our destination.
