A bit worried that we might be without Mitchell, Olise and of course will be without CG. I am just assuming that Mitchell will start or we do have a serious problem. I think Olise will make the bench and that's fine if he's fit to come on later. I don't have any issue with Schlupp, MacArthur and Ayew starting (Kouyate obviously). We need the high energy start we saw against Arsenal - if we start like we did against Everton it will all be over very quickly. Then Eze and Olise to come on. We are bound to need them (and Hughes to replace MacArthur) when the game is stretched. But I genuinely think Mateta is going to score.He obviously thinks so. And then the balance is with Wilf. I just think (wishfully perhaps) he will have a blinder. We may not win and I think 45,000 Palace fans showing Patrick Vieira we are celebrating his Palace team is a massive win already. It has been a very good season. But please footballing gods, you know it's what the final needs - underdog vs top dog - not Oligarch vs USA Sports team - we would love the chance to wipe the cheesy grin off Klopp's face again. Make It Happen!

Now yes, been up since about 6, only had a few hours sleep and have excitement at the pit of my stomach like a kid on Christmas Day tinged with nerves. Been a Palace fan for nearly 40 years and will always be like this I feel.

These days don’t come around too often. I will be there with my 2 lads and a few mates. I will enjoy a couple of beers beforehand, the build up and atmosphere. I think we can beat them but if we don’t then so be it. I will still be there at the end cheering the boys on and applauding their efforts. It is not a days for nerves it’s a day for smiles.

I was true to my word as were many thousands of Palace fans at the final whistle. I thought I’d log in to see some positive reflection but all I find is the usual suspects posting negative drivel sucking the energy and life out of everyone. Honestly I really do wonder sometimes.
