Not the best week for TM! But all the others not much better.

We are utter garbage tonight. Second to the ball, can’t pass, Olise can’t get in the game, Wilf moaning again, Edouard not a clue and then Almiron scores from his own half, the first goal he has scored since playing us last year.

Not sure about flip flops but we don’t look great at all.

Not sure that Ayew will do any better though

Well I was expecting a bit of a hangover from Sunday but this is just awful... Not one player on the pitch seems to be with it. We're repeatedly giving the ball away time and again.

I really don't see the point of Schlupp at times. Totally invisible. Olise had the poorest half I've seen him play so far this season.

Worried about Mitchell as well. He wasn't great on Sunday and responsible for the 1st goal. Been caught in possession again tonight a couple of times and absolutely skinned for their goal.

Surely we can't be any worse 2nd half

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Someone needs to remind him he first and foremost a defender. The amount of space he allows his opponent is generous to say the least and Newcastle are exposing it.

One attempt at goal. We are good at passing backwards, sideways and to the opposition.

No cohesion, finding space or ball control. Nobody playing well, we are going backwards rapidly.

I don't know the solution but our lack of ability is being exposed by a hustling team.

In a word - pathetic.

Awful awful display so far. Mitchell having an absolute mare in particular. Edouard just doesn't have the physicality needed up front either. Kouyate as always slow as a donkey .. the list goes on

i dont really go along with the patrick is doing a fantastic job he is doing a good job which may well end up being just an ok job if the season starts to run away from us after all we are currently behind some pretty average teams

Was Olise injured, if not very strange to bring him off, nobody was getting in the game.

Newcastle are so up for this, they're looking very good.

Shame Edouard couldn't get more power on our only chance.

We are a second half team, however this was always going to be , lets not forget they have beaten Everton. wolves Leicester, Brighton & villa, on the bounce at home.

Agree with what others are saying here. We're playing like our bags are packed and we can't wait to get the the airport to jet off to sunny climes. Newcastle playing like they're in a relegation fight. Making us look even worse. Maybe it is just the hangover but we need to shape up and finish the year out strong.

No - I don't understand why PV picked out Olise. The whole team are struggling to get in to this game - only Guaita doing his job first half.
