If the stand does actually happen and the club chose to name it after someone who would people think should receive the honour ?

a) Wilf
b) CPFC2010
c) Roy Hodgson ( may not be a popular choice but Croydon Roy, saved us when we needed him & even if the football wasn't pretty he helped build the platform for where we are today)
d) Steve Coppell - arguably our most exciting period (Present day excepted)
e) The new American who is arguably paying for it -
Just a few thoughts - lol

Got to be Wilf. He can have it named after him if he signs the contract extension

I would go for CPFC 2010; what has been done in 12 years from the brink of ruin is truly remarkable.

Parish, of course, was only one of the original 4 but his drive and determination on so many fronts surely deserve some recognition? What better than to name the stand than after the original investors without naming them as such.

The stand will be named after whoever pays most for the naming rights unfortunately.

I, personally, don't really care what it's called as long as I get to see it before i'm in my box

Little known historical fact. They actually built the great pyramids of Giza faster than a one stand refurb of Selhurst Park.

i have more confidence in the spirit of Rameses the Great returning to rebuild Selhurst

Just looking at the new stand being built at Anfield. They have a not too dissimilar situation like us in that Anfield like Selhurst began its life as a massive space to put a local football pitch. They have had to work very hard to squeeze in what they have got as football has grown out of all proportion, although the new stand on Anfield road has the benefit of backing onto Stanley Park.
They will have apparently maxed out with their latest under construction stand. The other end, the Kop virtually overhangs the street below.
Now, for me, and we are all different, I would rather see a new stadium like the one Beckham is building in Florida than what Liverpool have achieved within limited space at Anfield. It is a big dilemma, because for us to do that on site we would have to go and play somewhere else for a good few years which would undoubtedly knock the heart out of the club, or try and find a local site to move to.
No doubt Parish has been very thorough in his approach to this and opted to stay at Selhurst. Life is never perfect, so overall I reckon what we are now doing is overall the right decision. Parish has done really well gaining very good local support and we are now moving ahead.
I am hoping over the next ten years assuming we remain top flight, we will see a 2nd tier on the White Horse and a cantilever roof and internal improvements on the Arthur. then we really will have a futuristic stadium at Selhurst to be proud of.

So all we need is a few tens of thousands of slaves ?
