call me a pessimist and an under-achiever. but before my grandkid Eagles have died of old-age,..... i would hope for Palace to have an ok Stadium. One that was at least commensurate with a decent stadium in the English Championship.

I remember reading the story of the FA Cup in a Blue Peter annual when I was a kid. That mentioned a gypsy curse said to have been put on the Baseball Ground, which decreed that Derby County would never win the FA Cup. On reaching the 1946 final, and having lost in every previous final appearance, the club contacted some Romany people and 'crossed their palms with silver in order to get the curse lifted. They duly beat Charlton 4-1. The curse take has cropped up in other places - Birmingham City for example. I'm not sure about Selhurst Park, but didn't Romark put some kind of curse on the club after he fell out with Malcolm Allison? If so, it's been bloody successful!!!
