Picking up Andersen from Fulham was a pretty shrewd move and there should be some possibilities this off-season as well

Nick Pope. For me, Guaita was not quite so effective this season and Butland is no more than a backup. Pope, would probably be an upgrade, and will definitely want to leave to keep his England opportunities alive, However, he is 30 and probably there will be other sides keener than us

Maxwell Cornet. managed to score 9 goals for Burnley as a 25 year-old (next best player notched 3) in his first season in the Premier League. Could probably switch between the left side and central like Zaha. If there is a reasonable release fee he should be considered, particularly in the unlikely event that they can shift Benteke

Dwight McNeil. He came into the league as a very creative player but his stock has fallen and there was a time this year when the fans turned on him. However, he is virtually the same age as Gallagher and coming into this past season would probably have been higher rated. He seems an ideal replacement as a right sided midfielder and is currently on a very low salary

We will have to take a big hit with dumping Benteke.
Lose Edouard too. P/ex them with some more potent players. They are both french speaking so should be possible.

We should have a look at Maxwell Cornet. Always looked way too good for Burnley

Norwich have 2 good, young wingers in Christoph Tzolis and Milot Rashica.

Now I haven't seen an awful lot of them play, but they both look skillful, quick and able to deliver a great cross. Consistency is something I could not comment on.

That Rashica looked good against us. Tenacious and direct.

Burnley have the pick of the players. All of there back 4 and Pope are solid players. I actually like Charlie Taylor. Brownhill looks decent as well. McNeil was there stand player in previous seasons but he either underperformed or was well marshalled this year. I think he only scored the 1 goal. He is young though and a move may be good for him. Cornet looked a bit lightweight at times and some times went missing in games. Watford still have Saar who we have been linked with in the past but they were a fragile team and the charactor of many of their player has to be questioned.

Pretty sure I read somewhere Cornet's release clause is 17m.

I'll not say if they are signable or not, but Pope, Cornet and Tarkowski seem like the gems at Burnley to me.

McNeil can be filed in the flatters to deceive cabinet.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Pope is a great keeper but rubbish with his feet, so not sure he'd be a good fit for us. Would probably cost a fair whack given he's an England regular as well.

McNeil and Cornet are the two I'd be tempted in from Burnley - Cornet seems a no-brainer with that release clause, international team-mate of Wilf so hopefully he could put in a word.

McNeil hasn't quite clicked in terms of end product yet but I think you can definitely see there's a player in there - he absolutely ran the show against us at Selhurst last season. Assuming they'd be looking at circa £30m for him however, which is steep.

Brownhill looks a decent, all-action midfielder, but not sure how well he fits what we're trying to build. Same with Tarkowski - good defender, but too limited on the ball for our style.

Elsewhere, Rashica did look good against us but hasn't put up impressive numbers at all in terms of output. Maybe worth a punt - can't say I've seen enough to know.

I like Dennis from Watford and believe he has a reasonable release clause as well. Good feet, good technique and got an eye for goal.

Very good post, agree with all of that.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I wonder if Roy would provide Dougie with some honest feedback on potential signings from the current Watford squad??

I think he probably did/will and it will amount to 'none of them'. Asides from that Dennis and the ever dislikable Cleverly I can't even really name any of them. I know there's one aptly named 'Louza' which was/is hilarious but that's about it.
