Release clause figures are meaningless and required in these countries which is why they have them.

Palace wouldn't be able to sign this player anyway he doesn't meet any of the guidelines for work permit.

Would you mind explaining this to me . What are the guidelines that he has to meet to gain a work permit .

just looked it up there myself it looks like he meets the requirements to me . Unless he has a crinimal record of course . To qualify for a Skilled Worker visa, you must: work for a UK employer that's been approved by the Home Office. have a 'certificate of sponsorship' from your employer with information about the role you've been offered in the UK. do a job that's on the list of eligible occupations.

Interesting article. I just had a quick look at the squad for RWD Molenbeek where we have Plange and O’Brien on loan, looks like they have 6 players from Botofago on loan.

So I guess this is the model bring young players to Europe to your feeder club and if they make it sell them on at a big profit.

Most of the new post Brexit requirements relate to EU nationals, who previously did not require work permits.
Pre-Brexit non- EU nationals, even if based in Europe, still required work permits

Having a snoop on YouTube, both of the teenage Brazilians linked with us look exciting, but I find it hard to see either of them being ready for the rigours of the PL at such a young age and limited experience, plus they would have to adapt to a new country and as far I know we don't have any Portuguese speaking players?

It's potentially exciting if we are casting our nets in South America, especially when you look at what Brighton have achieved by stalking the Americas, most notably Ecuador. I guess this could all just be Textor creating these rumours, but it is nonetheless an enticing Fondant Fancy on a table of egg and cress sandwiches.

Agreed I reckon you could knock a nought off the end of their values and even then not sure they are better than Edouard.

Looking at the Chairman's latest interview on the club website he doesn't seem to anticipate much activity.
He makes the usual caveat about a difficult window in January and says the loan market would be a more likely vehicle for activity.
