I dont think that Conor will be coming back to us after today, We took turns fouling him which was good . He fvcking played out of his skin today, diving trying to win a penalty at the end our fans were booing him every touch he got , a bit of pushing and shoving when he went down time wasting and got Geuhi booked . a right annoying cvnt . Dont think our player like him too much .

For a second there I thought Wickham was on the way back , superfit and on a mission to earn his wages but alas was not to be

As for the other conor yes lets hope that the love affair is over once and for all , I for one tired of it long ago (about 6 months after he joined us on loan )

And we still need a striker

Just watched the BBC post match interview today.
He said that he had spoken to both Parish and Freedman and identified both the profiles and names of the players required.
He said it's down to the club now and we'll just have to see what happens.
At least Vieira is involved in the process, which I was starting to doubt and he has seemed reluctant to pick some of the players purchased.

He's exactly what we're missing. Energy, combative and willing to take on responsibility to influence the game. Best player on the pitch today and probably covered more ground than half our team put together. Anyone who still says Eze is a better player after today must be drinking some strong stuff.

At least after this weekend the nonsense rumblings of AwB and Gallagher returning will be put to bed after they both put in strong performances for their clubs.

I'd like to think we've got 'targets' lined up but I won't be holding my breath.

I have watched every Chelsea match this season , and he has never played for them the way he did today . He was on a mission .

If only we had a player on a mission. He's barely started for them so no surprise he's trying to grab his chance. Sadly most of our players are absolutely drifting through games.

Am happy to when he stops being complacent & addresses strengthening the team, just over 2 weeks to do something but not holding breath.
Yes, grateful to CPFC 2010 etc etc but there's a lot of water gone under the bridge since then.
There comes a point where you stop trying to compete on the cheap in this league because you go backwards.
The championship is a b****** of a league to get out off with all its failed Premiership teams and is arguably more difficult to get out of than stay in the Premiership.
We don't appear to be anything like a club with 10 years' standing in the Premiership and it appears that we don't have a pot for the proverbial & that is down to one man it appears.
The complacency around this club is worrying.
I would love him to prove me wrong but cannot be confident given recent windows (forget 2021 freak summer spending as that was funded by outside sources & not Parish and the American investors who don't appear to want to).

So Vieira's record.

Season 1 finished 12th. Our 4th best result since our return and our 3rd best points total.

We transitioned away from the premierships oldest squad.

We recorded the second best goals for and for the first time had a positive goal difference.

Before Chelsea we were two points better off this year than last. (not sure the stat after Chelsea).

We lost two midfielders in the summer and had another out with injury completely, and sold a striker - something like 70 appearances and 25 subs. We replaced them with one player who was first team ready.

In 5 seasons Hodgson bettered 12th once (11th) and bettered the points total once 49 v 48.

Sorry to be pedantic but it's 4 seasons, but I'm not disagreeing with the point you seem to be making.
