Anybody been? Anybody going? The first festival at Worthy Farm in 1970 attracted about 2,500 folk who paid £1 to get in to see Marc Bolan who was booked at the last minute in place of The Kinks who thought the event would be too small for them and pulled out.

Tickets this year cost £280 and well over a quarter million will be on site to see, among others, old man Paul McCartney strut his stuff.

I've never been - my festival days are long gone, but I watch a fair bit on TV. There have been some great acts there over the years and, although I'm not a huge Adele fan, I thought her set was brilliant. Florence and The Machine also put on a terrific show.

What are the acts that impressed you most in the past or this year? At least it looks like the sun will shine.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Never been, never fancied going, definitely too much grief for me, but I do watch a lot from years gone by on YouTube with my sound bar on the TV, Kasabian and The Chemical brothers a few years ago are two favourite sets that spring to mind

Came across Slave at Glasto one year - always watch out for them now.

Neil Diamond doing the Veterans slot was a brilliant one- real trip down memory lane.

AC/DC headlining was great, even though I'm not a big heavy metal fan

The Corrs got slated before appearing there back in the day- from the "real" music brigade- when they came on stage, they opened up with "toss the feathers",great tin whistle by Andrea, fiddle by Caroline, and Guitar by Jim took the house down - they got the biggest cheer of the night by the packed crowd on centre stage- ironic after the initial fuss , they didn"t realise that the band could play a bit!

That’s another of my favourites Becky, and same as you, I’m not a great heavy metal fan, but Brian Johnson is a brilliant front man and thunderstruck makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end it’s such a superb track, especially when you see it live with the crowd going mental…..although I’m glad I’m not in the crowd, it would kill me now

Really liked it when Florence and the Machine stepped in late on to headline when Foo Fighters had to drop out. I thought they put on a great set and really made the most of the opportunity. Even played “times like these” a Foo Fighters classic. Dave Grohl was full of praise afterwards.

Florence also do a great song “South London Forever” and she is a South London girl!

Don't laugh; I thought ELO were excellent at Glasto a few years ago.

Good choice Becky.Slaves were brilliant at Glasto. Saw one of their earliest gigs in Maidstone with my Daughter who is a mate of Laurie. Became a massive fan of theirs. Sadly no longer going but both Laurie and Issac have been collaborating with other artists and Laurie has been doing lots of art and music(as his alter ego 'Larry Pink') with my Daughter and he is a big Palace fan and, hopefull, next season will be coming to a game with me. Oh iI forgot to say my fave Glasto moment was Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. Done lots of Clash stuff. Was looking forward to seeing the Damned this Friday but Covid has hit them and they've pulled out.Would love to go one day! Ollie's Dad,Ash.
