I would not recommend it. Normally costs £30-40 for a private (not airline) lounge and they are now as crowded as the terminal.

I agree with your sentiments completely YT, but on the subject of airline food, one of my favourites was on an Air India flight to New York. Flew 1st Class (on AI that's probably equivalent to Club) because my boss at the time saw the cost was less than BA economy. Anyway, their service was excellent and they served two meals of very fine curry. Other than that I used to enjoy a 'cooked' BA breakfast on one of the many early morning flights I took to Glasgow. Barely finished before they started the descent.

We were served some chicken and rice and the cabin crew worked with some alacrity both serving and collecting the dishes.Jolly well done to them and the service was with a smile.The flight was operated by Bangkok Airways. Ah I remember the AirUK breakfast on my weekly Glasgow flights, once I turned it down and the stewardess thought I was ill. i would also recommend but many years ago Air Lanka's curries.

Koh Samui airport, buildings with thatched roofs and the mode of transport from aircraft to terminal resembles a tram that is used to show tourists the delights of a city !

Free meals on flights disappeared decades ago. We tend to buy baguettes from one of the shops in the airport and eat them on the plane. Even that is expensive compared to buying something similar from Sainsbury to take with you or even making something yourself before leaving home
