Quite a few reports that Chelsea are reluctant to sell to Newcastle because they see them as a direct rival and Conor doesn't want to go to Everton, unsurprising as they are a basket case at present. A loan for Conor would be fantastic and we should try and pull out the stops to make it happen. Personally, if he were to sign and remain fit, it could be the difference between not having to look over our shoulder or not. Especially given how many teams below us are spending quite a lot of money!

A loan for Conor would be fantastic and we should try and pull out the stops to make it happen. Personally, if he were to sign and remain fit, it could be the difference between not having to look over our shoulder or not. Especially given how many teams below us are spending quite a lot of money!

I wonder when he will realise he has no future at Chelsea ? Maybe now they have signed another dozen players he might see the writing on the wall ?

CG to Newcastle in the Summer isn't set in stone either -
CFC wont want to strengthen a direct rival & Newcastle will have their own dance card for incoming transfer possibilities of which CG will be only one option & there will be no shortage of talent wanting to go to Newcastle now that their climb up the PL & possible CL place train has gathered a bit of momentum- (ASLEF excluded of course)

I still cant see Connor leaving this window, regardless of who they sign. He is a Chelsea fan, he's played this season, he's not going to give up on playing for his club at the first turn. If he spends the rest of the season on the bench maybe, but not now

BBC are reporting a loan move only for him. Man Utd have just lost Eriksen to injury but i cannot see Chelsea doing that loan deal. We are without a doubt a good option for him and Chelsea and while I accept it is short termism, a fit Gallagher would make our League survival pretty much confirmed

I just can't see this happening but if it does then great but I feel shoring up our full back position and getting a young, lively forward is more vital now - always assuming the new French midfielder has the ball holding skill (and discipline) to make the grade.
