Must be made up. No way in a million years is he a £72m player.
Look at what he offered us in H2 of last season. A lot of huff n puff but not a great deal of end product.

Very hard to see where he would fit in at Chelsea other than the bench. Of course injuries could change things. Chelsea are looking very good. Just don’t think Gallagher quite cuts it there. We are his obvious choice. Newcastle? If he wants to move north. He knows us and vice versa. Que sera.

Like I said injuries. That will be Kante out for a while. Looked like a hamstring. That is the end of speculation on Conor. He will be staying. Unless of course the Newcastle bid is genuine and matches the de Jong supposed bid.

He didnt do bad when he came on today , he could have and should have scored , was quick closing down and created a chance for mount who fluffed it. Think Chelsea just put a 40 mill bit for that Gordon scouser from Everton .

Apart from that chance I thought he ran around like a little lost headless chicken.
And he only got minutes cos Kanye got injured.

Really?

Kante will probably be out for a month and there are two and a half more weeks till the window shuts.

I doubt it will be a game changer unless Kante is out for months.

I’m only assuming that the way Kante pulled up. Suppose it could have been cramp.

Very reluctantly (and sadly) I think we need to move on from Connor.

We served our purpose in his journey to the top (should have gone all out to get him on a permanent at the beginning when there may have been a chance) but he was so good with us that it has scuppered any hope of a permanent deal.

If nothing else we learn that there are some very good youngsters out there if we are prepared to give them the opportunity. Maybe James Garner from Man U would be worth a look.

With Chelsea offering 40 mill. for Everton player Gordon (and rejected), I can see a deal go through with Conor G. leaving for Goodison (and playing under his idol Lampard).

I am not saying that it wouldnt happen but - couple of things spring to mind -
Isn't Gordon kind of home grown Everton ? (one of their own) & one of their better players - so whilst I think that if CFC really want him they could get him (Everton financial position) that deal would have to be stacked quite highly in Evertons favour, CG + quite a lot of money if the Everton faithful were to be appeased -
Also Evertons big problem at the moment is not having a recognised goal scorer - Richarlison gone to Spurs & DCL injured -maybe if they wanted to do a player + cash deal they would want a front man as part of the deal ?

I know less than most , just my thoughts

Did you read the article? Newcastle lookin for a loan. 72m is what Chelsea are gonna pay for de jong. Conor would be available on loan if they sign him as he plays a similar role

Said on Talksh1te this morning that Everton are considering accepting £40m offer for Gordon.
And in Sun that Newcastle are gonna offer £40m for Gallagher.
