The heat was nothing like it was supposed to be. It is cool, breezy and dull now. In fact, I have a thunderstorm warning. As I said earlier - everyday a warning. Every weather seems to manage to reach the threshold of hazardous these days. Drizzle warning, mild evening warning, dew warning. Red and Blue Army!

Almost as if they are trying to push belief that some sort of apocalyptic, Dante-esque nightmare is ensuing. As mentioned on another thread, a bit of shrubbery caught fire outside of mine. It was very dry, dense and of course some halfwit threw their fag in there which is not a theory he was literally pointed out to me as I graduated from curtain twitching to opening the front door. He did look extremely apologetic and bemused must be said. Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I'm not sure why we talk around the subject of climate change. Global warming has been going on for ten thousand years since the end of the last ice age. It is neither surprising nor unpredictable. The question of man's contribution to the temperature is more complex. Scientists tell us that we are significantly contributing to the warming, but they have a track record of being wrong as much as right. We are also not sure how independent their analysis is. There is suspicion that science is influenced by political and financial pressures. This is not unreasonable. The very people who push the global warming agenda probably fly n their private jets and live in 10 bedroom houses. They have a bigger carbon footprint than most. It is also only a couple of countries that contribute the majority of pollution. How can anything we do here in Britain have ant significant effect on that? I'm also aware that the very same elites who push for green taxes and zero carbon are also encouraging the demise of Northern Europeans via mass immigration. Trust is the big issue here.

Britain is not prepared for thee kinds of temperatures, and that will have to change going forward. The problem is how much money you can throw at a problem that currently might only occur once every five years. It will be a gradual process.
