I think Forest will be fine. Cooper knows how to set up defensively and they have signed some attacking talent to complement Johnson. Bournemouth and Fulham have so far done nothing in the market to suggest they'll be in anything but a dog fight at the bottom.

Southampton have seemingly been in decline for a while and their transfer business has not been what it was in the past. Everton have not improved their squad as ultimately so far they have not replaced by far their best player from last season (Richarlison). If DCL has another injury plagued season then it's hard to see where the goals are going to come from. Leeds seem intent on training their squad to death (almost literally) and losing Raphina and Phillips is a big deal. I think those three will battle it out with Bournemouth and Fulham at the bottom.

It's hard to see beyond either Man City or Liverpool for the title. My money is on City as Haaland is a beast whereas Nunez looks like a work in progress. Arsenal are building a good squad but are they still just a bit lightweight? Tuchel not exactly frothing with enthusiasm and to me Chelsea are not a balanced team yet. Conte is the big tick in Spurs' corner, but I also think Richarlison will thrive. He works so hard for the team and alongside Kane and Son he will get far more chances. Man Utd don't look remarkably better to me than last season, but it's early days.

As for us I think, as others have suggested, we'll remain in a group of teams like Wolves, BHA and Villa who are all lurking just outside the European spots with hungry eyes.

The one big surprise is how little Newcastle have done so far. It seems teams are applying a toon tax, which is quite amusing. Howe has brought in solid pros so I expect they'll be fine regardless, but I'm not expecting them to push for Europe unless they add some more quality.
