This is actually being discussed and possibly considered to be done in parts of the EU.
Gas supplies are struggling with the war in Ukraine so Germany are potentially looking to prioritise certain users. France is going to fine stores who leave doors open when using AC or heating and neon lights out at 1 am.
Now don’t forget smart meters.
It might not be beyond the realms of fantasy that rationing could come here.
Control of your energy use is in the hands of someone else and when you consider how hard these were pushed the cynic in me thinks it had a hidden agenda.
It doesn’t actually save you money that you can’t save without a smart meter. Turning a light off or electricals on standby off is common sense. They use power. I don’t think the war is the main driver in these thoughts. I think it’s the green agenda and net zero crap. Commitments made to a totally out there promise without any thought for the impact on our lives.

Looks like rapidly increasing our population was a bad idea after all.

Who could have predicted that?

We will eventually get rationing of water, electricity and more with or without Russia.

The elites want to control us with predictable tactics. Isn't this becoming obvious to people yet?

Which led to the first-ever football league matches being played on a Sunday, for the purposes of spreading out electricity usage.

It's certainly obvious to me. Anyone who has read Agenda 2030 knows what's coming.

It is beyond comprehension the winter that Europe (and interesting to know that it is not the UK) is facing.

Suspect the Euro is going to come under immense pressure. What with German industrial output falling, and the impact of that on exports which underpins the entire single currency project, due to gas shortages/prices and a right-wing anti-EU Italian Government waiting in the wings to take centre stage, with their policy of effectively introducing Italian only 'Euros', then I reckon the Euro is going to be in serious trouble.

I think the war matters rather a lot.

However, I also agree with comments on the green agenda and the WEF's agenda generally.

The elites never suffer it's always the vulnerable who have to pay the price for their mistakes and/or social engineering.

The euro will be in a much better place without Italy's mega debts. However, the whole project will be under increasing pressure - particularly from so called 'populist' parties. The cost of living crises of the past brought this about before and will again.
If a party offers you a way of affording life, whilst another constantly berates and taxes you - who are you going to vote for?
It's not a hard choice when you can't afford decent food or to heat the house without skimping somewhere.
I earn supposedly good money and I always had some left on pay day. Now, I'm in the overdraft by pay day usually. When I see jobs advertised - I can see the money is not enough for the current climes. Why work and still not be able to afford life? That's just not worth it.
Britain and Ireland could easily use the sea for power. I have Europe's fastest river here - it used to power munitions factories for WWI. Why can't we use it now? Exclusive Angling clubs for the rich - people can like fishing but they can f*** off if we could power 80,000 homes for very little.

.

My understanding of the Italian Euro plan, and more than happy to be put right, is not that Italy would leave the Euro but rather they would issue their own, which could be only used within Italy.

Let's say you are an Italian owed a tax rebate from your Government. Rather than that being paid to you in conventional Euro's, it would be paid instead by Italian Euro's, printed in Italy. I would assume a law would be passed requiring people to take these for payment and it would enable Rome to effectively print money/issue bonds of its own, rather than having to go through the central European Bank in Frankfurt.

The issue then for primarily Germany is that more Euro's are in circulation and they lose control of the money supply, which in turn could mean the Euro being devalued. Now, in and of itself, not a bad thing on one hand because it helps with the export market but this was not how the single currency project was meant to operate and is a direct challenge to the entire notion.,

And more than happy to be corrected on this.

They may have that plan - I haven't looked into it. Ze Germans won't let them do it without a lot of trouble - or at all in my opinion. There's no actual stepping out of line in the EU and keeping the perks. Unless you're France.

I'm not sure what you mean by "nothing new" but yes a lot of this came from the Club of Rome and various other globalist organisations. But it's happening now and accelerating.
