I feel this year will be a struggle, not because of our game against Arsenal, I feel we be in Everton situation at end off season, team will not gel, last season we had conner, but pre season and opening game off the season seems the team are not reading each other

This has been my view for a while and I have articulated it in private several times.
I have made my opinion known on HOL and was met by comments which equated to the fact that I am a resident 'Elijah of doom' on this cherished site and that the gramophone record was being played once more.

We are destined for a tough season, no doubt about it. Some of the performances from teams that we might think would be pushovers were awesome at the weekend and I include Brighton in that.

Fulham will be a real handful and Bournemouth too, both just up from the Championship. Forest were the only team that looked flaky and if we don't end up above them we'll be in big trouble.

Of course, it's all too early to form any real measure, but aside from Forest I think we'll end up higher than Brentford and hope Everton, who I've really taken a strong dislike to after last season, are below us.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I was at a local match on Saturday and seated near me were a group of three gentleman of a certain vintage who had allegiances towards Brighton.

These chaps were discussing our game against Arsenal and not one derided our club or were critical in any shape or form. Had they gallivanted down this path, I would certainly have interjected, tonsils leaving their moorings, coils of smoke rising from my head. They seemed very pleasant human beings.

We didn't look great against Arsenal albeit the result could have been different and there wouldn't have been too many complaints.
I think that we will struggle to do as well as last season but are too strong to go down.
My Bournemouth mates expect them to be relegated and I think that Forest will go down as well.
After that perm any one from -
Fulham
Southampton
Wolves
Leeds
Everton
Brentford
I expect CPFC, Newcastle, Villa, Leicester and Brighton to be fine

I stand buy my OP unless Newcastle spend big, BET365 have us down to finish 12th, only 2.75 to 1 to finish in top ten, last year we were 11 to 1,

I would throw west ham and Brighton in there as well.

We showed a great deal of promise against the arse. I suppose we will see once we play the teams we should be beating. Far too many draws last season.

Not a bad shout Lanzo. Even Tony Cascarino in The Times, not our biggest supporter, thinks we'll finish 9th, mainly because we 'don't give much away at the back'.

We'd all like to throw them in somewhere.

I live in sussex, the tesco bag boys really hate us & long may it continue.

So we disagree. Fine. I thought this was a forum for the exchange of views without animus (as in 'daft comment'). Thanks for telling us about yourself. Most instructive.

We started last season a bit shakily being well beaten by Chelsea away 0-3, and then being held 0-0 at home to Brentford.

We have some tough games coming up but if we can beat Villa and Brentford in the home games then that would provide a springboard for us. If we can't then I would start worrying (unless of course we were to spring surprise wins over Liverpool and Man City!)

The team hasn't got that good feel factor this season, yes we have very good players but how can do a pre season half off first team goes others stay behind, this season just feels like a struggle to stay in the league, I truly wish we stay in the league with my heart, but brain says the drop, let's hope we stay up, if anyone disagree that's there opinions.

We are 'Birds on the same twig' on this matter.
My brow has been corrugated with concerns for some time.
