In my 32 years of season ticket (before that I was a tad too young to remember as more interested in the girls I took to the matches) Ian Wright would have put away both gilt edge chances yesterday and, as the midfield was distinctly lacking, Lombardo or John Salako, in my opinion the best Palace player over those years even with his injury woes.

Blimey, Lombardo is looking a bit rough nowadays.

There are a few to choose from but if I was choosing 2 who I thought would be beneficial to this current team I would probably choose Ian Wright & Ian Evans -

Ian Wright. Don Rogers.
Or maybe Peter Taylor and Stevie Kember.
But for entertainment I’d have to say Mark Lazarus.

Mr 110% would be one point one of a player. Who would be the other 90%?

For a younger contribution, I’d take Bolasie and jedinak.

Anchor the midfield and a bit more attacking threat.

Happily replace with AJ, Michael Hughes, Cabaye or Murray actually.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

For me it would probably be between Ian Wright/Glenn Murray and Aki Riihilahti. Aki is one of my favourite players of all time and I think would suit this midfield

You're the first Palace fan I have ever heard echo this sentiment which I hold myself.

I played CM as a teen and he was an idol for me! Times columnist, Finnish accent tinged with a bit of Saaf London thrown in, loved it! Joonas Kolkka came on his recommendation too and I thought was a very good player for his brief spell.

Paul Stewart (I know he was a loan) but I see him as a more technically gifted Michael Hughes (who I also rate very highly but we need a bit more than blood and guts). Was tempted to say Ambrose but I feel like we we're covered in the direct, attacking midfielder (although not to his assured quality). Then it would have to be a toss-up between Murray and Wright. I'd be happy to see either but will go with Wrighty, as he's less fresh in my memory as I was not even a teenager when he was playing for us and I'd love experience his ability as an adult.

Short answer: Paul Stewart, Ian Wright.
