Maybe the Ajax methods don't translate over here. Certainly not in 6 weeks anyway. Or, more likely, Manchester United are just in such a mess that there simply isn't a singular appointment that's going to make a significant difference. They need a leader from the very top with the experience and vision to implement a monumental cultural shift. The first team coach can't do that alone, nor can a new striker/midfielder etc. I think Ferguson had them punching above their weight in that last season. Mourinho's claim that his 2nd place finish was his finest achievement also has more credibility now than back then.

And their U21s aren't any better. We stuffed them 5-1 on Friday at their place as well AND did it without having to resort to using 1st team players (unlike when we scraped past Brighton).

Everyone laughs at Big Sam and Pulis (and maybe Mourino), but they understand, in order to build a team that competes, you have to start with a strong defence. Once he realizes that Man U will start to compete.

I was going to post: "Don't worry Manure fans you always have to U23 side to look forward too they will see you alright" I expect the bin dippers haven't stopped laughing a good weekend for those of us who despise Franchise United.
