That would be the guy in the photo in my opinion. If you look again, he was wearing gloves - out to kill - radical.

Bloke been named and picture released.

Absolute failure and piece of s#!t as can be expected, had already served 12 years for robbery.

Interestingly, I did not see one overtly racist Tweet on Twitter which was slightly promising however I did see more than one tweet slamming 'racists' for using this as an excuse. Shocking incite into culture these days of people so ready to fight something which has not yet come to life that they are willing to completely forgo any acknowledgement let alone sentiment regarding something so horrific. Should be grounds for sterilisation and internment.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Another example of the public being denied democracy. We have no chance of being offered a vote on capital punishment if we had back in the sixties I doubt it would have been abolished.

Still the MPs are honorable and know what's best for the country, let's face it since capital punishment was abolished it's not like the crime and murder rate has gone up.

That is generally considered crap Badger. Like the dewy eyed view of the home front in the war being all stiff upper lip and carry on. It was a crime fest with forced child prostitution rife, murders a plenty, coppers bent as a pipe and gangs running the show. And the blitz.

What has gone up is reporting, data gathering and the size of the population.

Back on topic, if I was his family I would happily kill the bloke who did this. Fortunately, we live in a civilized country and should look back with genuine embarrassment at a time when the state carried out some misplaced act of vengeance.

There were undoubtedly innocent men executed in the past, however, far more people have been killed by released murderers reoffending. I see nothing wrong with the death penalty being available to the judge but it should not be mandatory.

Imagine seriously believing that.

It's like believing 400,000 British men died for diversity and inclusion.

Also, like believing you could get 400,000 road men to fight for this country today.

Yes, and set against that simple but horrible fact all other considerations in the debate over capital punishment are irrelevant. It should not be available to the courts.

We don't know anything at all about the killer. All we know is that a photo of the suspected killer is available and that the person in that photo has been charged - not convicted.

What about those killed by released murderers? What about the guilty found not guilty because the jury didn't want them to hang. The judge would determine if guilt was clear enough and the murders henious enough to warrant the death penalty.

Crikey. Trial by jury - made up of twelve of our peers - is one of the great bulwarks of our democracy. If judges are to be allowed to overrule juries' verdicts, juries might as well be abolished, or we could go back to the good old says of "Bloody" Judge Jeffreys in the 17th century, who bullied juries into complying with his own prejudices.

I'm not saying that judges should overrule a jury's verdict. I'm saying that when the death penalty was the only sentence for those found guilty of murder, juries would acquit if they had the slightest doubt or sympathy. The judge determining whether the death penalty is appropriate is what I am proposing.

Not what he wrote. Judges would determine if the verdict was strong enough and the crime heinous enough.
Then it would go to a woke panel where the perpetrator would get a nice holiday, two hours of counciling, a new house and sent on their way with a benefit amount to make CP look poor
