Worth a go .. strict rules to apply .. once a very good player .. something has gone wrong .. mental attitude to football has changed .. Everton was never a good move for him Lampard was never going to give him a one to one that perhaps he needed to coach him back .. he had and still has to many problems to solve .. I trust PV with any player .. especially to give them the support needed to believe in themselves ..

I'd rather get a chunk of meat from the Deli counter, drape it in a Palace top and throw it in the middle of the pitch quite frankly however it is an interesting thought.

Something not quite right about him, was always there but he did seem able to play football at some point. On a free with say a 25k a week rolling contract I'd consider.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Once a good player but something has definitely gone wrong. Very similar situation to Jack Wilshire. I wouldn't risk it.

If he wants to come for free on a trial and be by far our lowest paid player - at say minimum wage - then fair enough.
Otherwise no way. It seems any thousands a week and he downs tools and takes the cash. He's not the only one.

The fact Spuds let him go for free with any fee based on appearances, etc, tells you everything. Once a very gifted player but I think mentally something has switched off, whether it's confidence or just a disinterest in football. Personally I think it's the latter. Now talk of him going on a free to Turkey. Sadly he seems on a downward spiral and may well disappear from the game. I do wonder if some players are ruined by the trappings of money and adulation.

Anyway, an emphatic no from me.

His career may follow the same trajectory as Ravel Morrison's. He's now a teammate of Benteke at DC United.

His career nosedived, ever since he grew a moustache, strange but true.

Same Eze who is only now recovering from an injury and could have another one?

And Clyne had nowhere to go and look how he turned out.

However, he would have to come cap in hand, enter a train only deal till January and then we'll see. He would never go for that, so all academic.
