Hopefully wrong, but City will be too strong for us and I can see this being 2-0!

Just as the law of averages suggested we would eventually stop losing to Liverpool we are probably due to stop winning at Man City. The hard thing will be not conceding early and then we might be able to get something from the game. I think this time we will probably concede early and it will be hard. Going 2-0 defeat.

So you are saying that the 'law of averages' applies to just one game - our win at Man City last season, given that we didn't win there in the previous 2 seasons. How strange this law of averages is!

Maybe we should look to the 'law of sequences'. Our last 5 league visits to Man City have been (oldest first): LWDLW. On that basis, we are due a draw.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

City couldn't cope with Saint Maximan at Newcastle last week so I'm hoping and onsong Zaha/Eze/Olise will cause similar problems.

They're attacking players are frightening though. We'll need luck, but if we can avoid going behind and nick a couple on the break we may just come back with something.

I think we will get stuffed this time. Season so far... Manchester City will try to put on a show, likely to score early and run away with it at the end. However, it is only one game, will not define our season and I will not be critical of anyone in the team after the game!!

For the sake of sanity and realism I often write off these games as I did with Liverpool. Anything you do get is a massive bonus and a loss in this one does not tell us much other than those with blank chequebooks are often going to buy success at the expense of those like us. Nothing we didn't already know.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I think he used to play for Brighton. I clearly remember singing "Onsong, You've only got onsong" at them

I think if we keep the score to below 4 and get one ourselves we would have done ok. They will be ready for us this time after last year so we will have to perform twice as hard to achieve anything.COYP

Hope i am wrong COYP!!

We should win fairly easily. Haaland completely overrated - we all know Mateta is twice the player. Eze will tear them a new one, can't even remember the names of any of their midfield. Journeymen dross no doubt.
