Unless we have a realistic 'post Zaha' plan in place and can be certain any replacements are available it will be disastrous if he leaves now. Agreed, the time is approaching as his contract expires next July, but we need him as our talisman and as his absence on Saturday proves we are not the same team without him. All the alternatives to replace him (Sarr, Hudson-Odi, Gallagher, etc) don't seem adequate to me.

If he is in the starting 11 Tuesday night then its probably realistic to assume that he is with us at least till the January window - if he is still out with this "knock" then I guess we will just have to hold our breath until either there is an official announcement on his transfer or the window closes.

Even if wilf stays we still need a winger, and if he goes we need two, Olise seems injury prone, Ayew and Edouard are not wingers, we can get away with defense, central midfield, and center forward but we cant get away with Wilf gone and Olise injured.

I would go that as far as to say he’s injury prone, he’s missed 3 games in his career due to injury. He’s being eased back because he missed preseason?

I think he'll go. They won't want him to leave for nothing at the end of the season. And probably for the first time ever, I think we could probably do ok without him.

If he does go it will be total incompetence from Parish, He should have sorted all this out at the end of last season, and put a deadline of 3 weeks before the deadline, he signs new contact, or is sold, if nothing happened before the deadline Wilf stays and walks if he wants at the end of the season, lets hope he stays and signs an extension.

Is this manager incompetence or the player with many difficult choices and potential suitors who are facing their own hard issues. I fear you may oversimplify by viewing only from the clubs angle.
