Frightening in more ways than one. He'd look good in a remake of the the film "The Vikings" leading from the front with a massive club hammer.

Can't do much about the Nazi they have upfront. He does look like a pin up on the wall of an SS officer.

Nice bit of racism.

I must make a note that all tall blond men are Nazis.

Would of been delighted with 5 points from the first 5 games at the beginning of the season. Will get that if we don't lose tomorrow and hoping for even better. Haaland could well be top scorer in the PL this season and looks a snip on the transfer market with the silly transfer fees being quoted at the moment. Hoping for a few new additions ourselves but hopefully won't be held to ransom. COYP !!

Man City are not a football team as has been rightly stated. They are a commercial entity bankrolled by a corrupt regime and there may still be a few of the thousands (singular) who turned up to Maine Road occasionally still knocking about however, as I’ve previously articulated, the demographic of away fans when we play City is more akin to what you expect to see from a trip to Disneyland.

The third goal cancellation is an absolute travesty, hence why I believe both the BBC and sky are refusing to even acknowledge it. Pat’s substitutions are a direct contrast to the managerial capability he’s shown, Richards should never have been thrown on in that position. Edouard has shown just what a mockery of professional football the Scottish league is. Mateta should be our main man.

Bitterly disappointing, viscerally so, however anger should be limited. City and Liverpool away the two hardest games of the season easily and we’re past them without disgracing ourselves.

I sincerely hope for an angry, full blooded retribution to be sought against Brentford and quite frankly we’ve had a million times worse seasons beginnings in recent years. No Wilf today either, hopefully back very soon.

Where do you think the rest of the City fans went, to support United? Newcastle were taken over towards the end of last season, do you think all of their fans from before the takeover have walked away and been replaced by a new set literally overnight?

I didn't suggest that they went anywhere, just merely that whenever we've played them the 'opposition fans' do not bare any resemblance to the Man City fans of old. Perhaps some of them cannot afford the luxury of watching City anymore just as a theory.

Do you have any further questions or would you like me to explain further?

Edit: Want to expand upon this for the removal of doubt.

As an example, I distinctly remember shortly after the dirty Russian money turned up at Stamford Bridge going with a mate from school to a Chelsea match for his Birthday along with a few others. We were briefed to state we supported Chelsea before arriving at the bridge and were inevitably questioned by a few of the adults there. All followed diligently however being as I was then I proudly proclaimed 'Palace'. The reaction I got was a wry smirk and chuckle from a few who until that point had been snarling at what they perceived to be the new, Ambramovich era, suddenly inspired 'Chelsea fans'.

I can very well see that happening at Newcastle however have no way of foretelling it. It certainly won't happen overnight, but it has happened at City. Every single time we've played them and on both my trips to the Etihad the 'crowd' has of course some 'proper' City fans however the number of foreign faces/voices and general demeanour/behaviour of many are more reminiscent of those visiting a tourist attraction. A very long sight from what I remember before or see at/with other clubs. I quite enjoyed chatting to a few Villa fans the other day.

Personally, I cannot see anything worse happening to Palace. There is a deep bond shared between 'true' supporters, a shared ecstasy at the best of moments and equally heartbreak and anger at the worst of times. Those kindred spirits would soon be diluted by the 'tourists' were we to start operating with a £500million transfer budget each window. All at a cost to what must feel a hollow and unearned glory to any real fan.

I'd sooner bemoan a loss to Walsall on the train home with strangers who instantly become family than watch Palace lift a Champions League with people who can't even spell 'Norwood' let alone point it out on the f**king map.

I remember my brother getting a hiding off Man City. Funny, because he's massive and a runner. I must have out ran him that day.

You did suggest they went somewhere " there may still be a few of the thousands (singular) who turned up to Maine Road occasionally still knocking about"

After half a decade of living in United's shadow and endless relegations if you think City fans first thought on hearing of the takeover was "sh*t foreign fans" your deluding yourself. But don't take my word for it have a read of this thread on the day of their takeover, feel free to copy and paste all the fans saying they are unhappy and are off!

Now, I don't know you and it may well be that if the same was to happen to Palace you would may wee walk away but make no mistake you would be walking on your own!

You've centred around an argument you have conjured up yourself, it is not relevant or based upon any point I've made.

I'm not saying you or any other City fan has walked away from the club, nor am I saying that I would walk away from Palace. The point is around the commercialisation and then subsequent attraction to the club of many who previously were not, nor ever would otherwise be City fans.

My point around the demographic is also based on very lived and witnessed experiences, not an assertion or guess, I've seen it, with my own eyes, numerous times, before and after.

My final point is that I would not like that to happen with my club. I enjoy the fraternity and genuine attraction the CPFC I share with other Palace fans far more than any bought success that would no doubt start attracting the hoards. I'm not saying you or any other City fan is in the wrong, there to be put down or scalded in any way, in fact quite the opposite. I would, subjectively, just feel slightly robbed of something were I in those shoes with Palace. The actual team itself is not representative of what your community/fanbase has built as a football club, it is representative of what Middle Eastern billionaires can afford to do in football should they choose. That for me, again just for me, not saying it's right or wrong, is just not the essence and entire point of football. Any City fan may well enjoy it and if they do fair play, I'm not begrudging them that.
