The Adventure Game - like an early Crystal Maze
Knightmare - like Adventure game, but in early VR format
Space 1999 - always used to scare me
Words and Pictures - watched it at school (with Wordy)
The Muppet Show - Sunday night, always with marmite on toast
Hart to Hart - "Hi my name's Max"
Cagney and Lacey - erm American female cop program
The Tripods - slightly dodgy, low budget remake of sci fi book

Reminded me of Name that Tune, Lionel Blair and Una Stubbs. God knows how I often got it in one. Makes me wonder if Richard Stilgoe was on the keyboard - bet he was. He got everywhere.

Ah the radio! Who remembers Journey Into Space? It was on at tea time on a Sunday - the only meal that was eaten in total silence in our house as we were all glued to the radio for that week's exciting episode.

Me. It was my favourite program at the time

David Kossof played Lemmy but I can't remember the others without cheating and using Google

There are some fabulous shows mentioned in this thread. It's probably an age thing, but modern programmes are dire in comparison.

As a young scallywag I remember our first television. An enormous box with a 6 inch screen and just two dials - on/off and volume. BBC was the only channel available then of course.

I loved watching The Lone Ranger, Champion the Wonder Horse and Robin Hood.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Journey Into Space was certainly my favourite at the time, as radio was my only source of entertainment. It’s strange all these years later what odd memories are so vivid. I can almost hear the presenter of the programme saying “Guy Kingsley Pointer, as Doc”. The other character along with Lemmy that I can remember was Mitch. Happy days, Journey Into Space and playing on bombsites, what more could a boy want.

The National anthem followed by a long continual beep at the end every night about 10.30 that went on until the next morning.
