I think there is a very strong chance Ferguson will be released. All indicators are that we are going to cut our losses with him, with the signing of Richards and talk of interest in Jones from Boro. Obviously doesn't mean we will get Jones but if we are out looking then it doesn't look promising for Ferguson.

Firstly, as an aside, I've high-lighted those who I think will be offered another year. Whether they all take it if offered, who knows. As for Ferguson, if he can remain injury free till the end of the season, he might get a longer contract if he shows he's up to the mark.

As to youngsters, and before the more recent posts were added, my first thought too was Ozoh - he's a beast and physically ready to compete in men's football IMO. Of the others, Ebiowei has already featured for the 1st team and looks the nearest to being ready for more minutes in the PL. I'll reserve judgment on the others until near the end of the season when we can see who out on loan has performed well (I suspect Adamarola may be loaned out again in the New Year - it will be interesting to see who else gets loaned out in January as well).

I think you are right about the highlighted ones, i think all would accept, apart from Wilf, think he would want 3 years on the same 130k a week, he may go in Jan if we get 10/15M

Nobody is going to pay £10m with only 6 months left on his contract. Why would he sign for nothing, if he waits to June he would get a signing on fee, as out of contract.

Well Chelsea, say, might offer a fee in January if they thought Zaha might prefer to go on a free to Arsenal in the summer. He would also be their player for more than half the season to help them in the Champions League (if he can register) and make top 4.

Zaha might like to move to a top team ASAP, possibly with a better contract than Palace want to offer. Who knows, he might get a career-threatening injury before next season

Jack Wells Morrison is the future.

There's a reason he was on the bench for the last game.

I’m surprised Ebiowei hasn’t received more game time. Surely got to be worth giving him half an hour here and there. Looks very good whenever he turns out for the youngsters.

I know some won’t like this suggestion, but if we get an offer of say £30m for Olise then I would sell him and use the money to buy a right back and central midfielder. Ebiowei could then share responsibility with Ayew for the right wing slot. Don’t get me wrong, I like Olise but he doesn’t add as much to the team as I think PV asks for.

Given his age I would like to think Olise' will become stronger & grow into the game (under the guidance of the club) & as he develops will bring more to the party - whilst there is certainly some validity in your thinking it would be disappointing (as a supporter) having waited so long for someone of his talents to sell them 5 minutes after they arrive on the scene -if we had scored the second against Southampton on Saturday it would have been easier to introduce him to that game, it would be good to see Ebiowei get some good minutes against Newcastle in the cup.

Agree . From what I hear , he will be a proper player, bring him on with fresh legs with 10 mins to go.

I think Guaita wants to go back to Spain, McArthur is finished, Ward might get a year and Butland would be a good back up for Johnstone
