Really disappointing result today. I know they have improved in recent weeks but we really should be capable of putting in a better performance than that.

I can definitely see us in a scrap against relegation, along with 6 or 7 other teams.
We are painful to watch most weeks. It's not clicking with the current set up but Pat seems very keen to force it to work. We need a couple of fresh faces. We've lacked a true goalscorer for years and the middle of midfield is non existent. Without major investment we will always tread water, but that luck will eventually run out.
January is a big one regarding transfers. It will show us fans which way the men in charge firstly rate Pat by backing him and secondly which way they want to take the club.

And before you say they don't get service, they should be servicing each other. In my opinion eze and olise are luxury players who don't do enough for yhe team over 90 minutes....

But, it is the lack of service. We don’t get the ball quick enough to these players you mentioned. How many times do you see us playing it across the back into the player just in front of the back four and then back again. It give’s organised times time to re group. Forrest are poor but they are organised / balanced. We on the other hand aren’t and play into the opponents hands. It needs a couple of strong midfielders taking the ball forward quickly and passing to those players you mentioned quicker. It’s not rocket science ;-)

Clueless performance. I think Schlupp must be his love child or something, either that or Viera just cant see how much having him in the middle is f***ing us up. We have our own little Ward-Prowse sitting on the bench every week doing nothing when he could be the answer to our non existent midfield, its the reason we spend about 20 mins per game knocking it sideways and backwards because theres no midfield or forward making any sort of run or movement. The forward line has a lot of talent but unfortunately the brains and movement of rocking horses and wingers dropping deep to receive instead of making a run down the line, wtf is all that about.
He's dropped Ward for f*** knows what reason when in my opinion he was having an excellent season.
Luckily we've had a few lucky results from s***e performances and hopefully we'll have a few more to ensure survival but I'll be honest, Im starting to go off the big man quite rapidly. He might be lucky enough to keep us steady for a season but he's certainly not the visionary to take us forward.
I'll get my tin hat.

I agree, and have previously posted my doubts about his tactics. Jumping to this game in particular, where we pass it from side to side so our possession stats are 68%, highly impressive PV might say, but when weighed up against the stat that we had zero on target attempts then I think questions need to be asked. He doesn't seem to realise that even if we have Zaha, Olise, Ayew, Edouard, Mateta, and anyone else on the pitch at the same time, as long as they are f***ing about at the back with the side to side bollocks and there is not a midfield to carry the ball forward and pick a pass then all those forward minded players are in vain. It has been noted that we only have one genuine midfielder who knows the position and the role, and yes, it is like that. Perhaps we should just go long and feed off the scraps. Again, I do wonder what Pulis would have done with this set of players.

Ward wasn't having an excellent season at all... He hasn't been good enough for the Premiership for at least the last 3 seasons.
Clyne finished last season strongly and started this season well and only lost his place to Ward due to injury so deserved to get it back as he's better than Ward.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Simply because apart from Zaha none of them are goalscorers and Zaha today was having one of his "throw my toys out of the pram " days where he just couldnt be bothered.....

The forwards got no service today, doesn’t matter who we sign if the service is rubbish!

It appears as if our back line is having huge problems seeing a pass forward or our forward players are having huge problems creating themselves space to receive the ball forward ..because otherwise it's just a case of holding onto the ball to waste time ..and passing the ball forward only for it be immediately booted back is not helping anyone.

We are excellent with allowing the opposition time to organise themselves.

We are useless in final third, we need a striker who can react quickly, get in to six yard box and capitalise on tap in’s, we often get crosses in to the box but all our so called existing striker are slow to react!

They all appeared to be afraid to get stuck in, becoming a problem.

This is it -in a nutshell. Have been going on about the need for a creative midfielder for yonks !

If Viera doesn't understand this we are done for.

The Eriksens of this world are hard to find but Barry Bannon is one and Jonjo Shelvey the other who can pass constructively.

Aren't eze and olise supposed to be creative midfielders, if not, and they're not goalscorers, what the f**k use are they.
