Main 3 were invisible on Saturday - it was Ayew who put in a shift and his persistence set up the penalty. Yet, when we lose the same few - Ayew and Ward (who was only sub) etc - get jumped on. The fact that this thread was started by someone comparing their youtube clips just sums it up for me.

I've always thought that Ayew would be better as a Central Midfielder. He holds the ball up well and doesn't lose it and does the simple passes well. He can't seem to score so a slightly deeper role might suit

We should have progressed beyond JA being regular first choice but pound for pound he's been a big player for us over the last four years IMO. Deserved Player of the Year in 19/20. Past his best at 31 but don't understand the point of whining about him.

Another woeful performance against Portugal ASWELL. Subbed in and he let 2 goals go in the Portugal match. Ghana Twitter is angry.

I watched him as Ghana scored their second goal,didn’t even celebrate,probably still smarting from not in the starting eleven.

Yeah I guess that proves it. He can't attack neither can he defend.. Past 5 games couldn't be more clearer. No one is defending that.
