It’s starting soon Glaziers! Lots of other threads but I was hoping for egotistical reasons this could be for the actual happenings of the tournament! I shall be blessing Rainham with my presence tomorrow following a sudden illness meaning I can no longer attend work Monday and sincerely hope Ecuador stuff the Qataris thoroughly this afternoon! I have time on my hands these days so much as I don't agree with this World Cup, I'll probably end up watching more than I would have done if I was still working. I hope England do well, but don't see them winning it. I want the USA to do well as that is where I was born, but I'm not expecting too much from them. I'd like to see Argentina win it ( if the above don't ), for Messi's sake. @ Nicholas - where are you watching it in Rainham ? I lived there back in the late 70's

I lived there back in the late 70's I actually don’t really know Neillo but I’m given to understand there’s a pub booked which is on the high street! Not a massive place so should narrow it down. It’s a 15 min drive for me these days and a central location for my personal Palace contingent plus one Charlton and three Millwall fans unfortunately.

I’ve got to do a speed awareness course in Chatham tomorrow morning which finishes about 11.15, so thankfully I’ve Got plenty of time and won’t have to speed home for Englands game

the Qatar team ? i have seen more footballing-talent manning the fast-food shops of West Croydon. And that includes some of the old ladies at Greggs. Edited by PalazioVecchio (20 Nov 2022 5.03pm)

To prepare myself for today's game I re-watched Mike Bassett England Manager on Amazon Prime. If you have never seen it in my opinion it is the best football film very funny and very true. Anyway MB's England stumble and bore their way to the WC finals where it all starts to go even more wrong. Pele is very funny. Worth a look. Edited by Badger11 (21 Nov 2022 8.54am)
