Also does a good yank style toast if you pre butter both sides & toast .
WTF where those super cheap brands woolworth used to do for crap kitchen utensils..Ronco? cant remember the proper name.
Useless gadjets that would bust the same day.

Ronco's adverts were great. They always had some sort of miracle brush to get cat hair off of everything along with the Buttoneer and the thing which cut bottles in half for no apparent reason - to make a dodgy glass?

I gave mine away years ago it was too hard to clean (stuck on burned meat and fat) the metal grill plates were not removable so you could not put them in a soak. Sounds like bread warmer is the ideal function.

I was offered to be a Freemason, and turned it down. I'm a bit like that - does that mean I'm posh?

Don't worry I was once rejected by the Scouts.

I wasn't prepared for that.

Unfortunately they didn't accept herberts from Lewisham.

Provided the inspiration for a well known scene in a film called Crocodile Dundee however. "That's not a knife..."

Many years ago there was an Old Etonian in our office, who thought he should put me right on a few things. First, a gentleman never referred to a dinner suit - he said dinner jacket. And I can still recall his resigned look when I used the word jacket - one should refer to it as a coat. I have never heard either of those strange usages, before or since, but I suppose that's what you go to Eton for. Perhaps any OEs out there might like to comment.
