Eze has scored 5 out of 6 penalties but hasn't taken one in a league game for 3 years.

He has been at Palace for 2. He should be the penalty taker

Strange to see Nathan Ferguson's name in the programme. He must have been the only one not used.

The Alvinegro perspective of Zaha (from their chants):

'Jeffinho é melhor que o Zaha' Jeffinho's better than Zaha.
'Ei, Zaha, vai tomar no <...>' Hey, Zaha, will take it in the ..(ahem)...

I never read into Brazilian chants towards opponents, though, considering this is how their Ultras handle a run of poor form by their own players: [Link]
( Their song is Meu Sangue Ferve por Você My Blood Boils for you
(Potentially painful)): [Link] )

IMO, Tayo's defensive mindset & capability has improved tremendously since the Coventry fiasco. With his crossing capability and his raw speed providing left channel width all the way to the corner as seen today, on top of the ongoing defensive polishing being performed by Paddy et al, might he not be ready for some first team 'late-on offensive spark' duty?

JWM - I love his passing.
Kofi Balmer - doesn't he have a long-throw in his arsenal? Or is it Chris Richards? One does, and as I recall, it is pretty good.

We are very soon to have a tranche, with seemingly more in the pipeline, of quality talent bursting forth from the academy, begging the questions of who to keep, sell, or loan.

I suppose he took it as he earned it and it's a friendly. Otherwise should be Luka. If he still looks good, I'd almost be tempted to bring him on in a game if we got awarded one

He was widely slagged off the other day for a poor penalty attempt in the League Cup tie shoot-out at Newcastle.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Bah, all PV has to do is have a classroom style gathering and ask who wants or likes or fancies themselves at taking penalties. Then a training session whereby those who put their hands up get their chance to prove thmeselves. Should sort the wheat from the chaff, and Wilf is certainly the chaff when it comes to penalty taking.

I also noticed the opposition GK was the lad who we had over for a brief stint.
