Suspiciously easy win, which we will take all day.

I expected much more from Bournemouth, they have had some very good days but really looked average for the PL.

Much better intensity from Palace.

On to Spurs that will tell me much more.

I would be happy with 'average', which would suggest a mid-table existence (remind you of anyone?). Don't you mean they were 'well below average'?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I’m more concerned that we don’t have any money to spend, not that we don’t have Newcastle type money.

That was my take from yesterday's game. After 2 poor performances we turned it around, okay Bournemouth were poor but that is not our problem.

I think if we had lost yesterday then I would have started to worry about PV however we didn't so he still hows the dressing room.

With the exception of the FDB reign we seem to have a happy settled squad who want to play for the manager, as long as that continues I think we will be a mid to bottom table with our limited resources.

I agree with your take on it Badger. We all know that the club doesn't have a bottomless vault of cash to spend on refreshing the squad, but at least the players we do have appear to gel and pull together. Even if the performances are inconsistent.

PV is still an inexperienced manager in this league, but he works well with the resources available to him. We're a long way off the big money clubs, but isn't that why we all support Palace?

For me at least, it's the thrill of knowing that my club is part of the local community, but still pulls off results like yesterday. Sure, there is some American money sloshing around, but I'd hate it if, for example, we lost our local identity to an unknown Arab state.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I would like to know why after all the 4-3-3s we switched to 4-2-3-1, and played more direct, has Ayew played as the lone CF before, he was excellent, was it PVs decision or player and coach's input, like when Holloway was in change, as long as it stays the same i dont care whose decision it was. everyone player had a smile on their face

Jolly well done Andre Marriner.

I had no issue whatsoever with the ref on boxing day.

That’s true Willo, but in a lot of cases the defeat stems from a poor refereeing decision. The defeat at Forest was from a goal that was clearly off side, I grant you Wilf should have put the penalty away though….

With respect I disagree.

VAR reviewed the decision using all the technology and deemed that Guehi's foot was just playing Gibbs-White onside or perhaps that the players were level in which case the Nottm Forest player was not offside.

Some Bournemouth supporters did !

"Also a very poor game for a weak referee in Andre Marriner who basically lost control of the game.

Palace players were constantly talking to him, even one stage a player through the ball away to stop our freekick and didn’t get booked"

Supporters have a proclivity never to criticise a referee when their team wins but he/she is the focus of their ire when their team is defeated !

On Boxing Day?
I think Silvertop was saying that despite our woeful defeat on Boxing Day, he didn't have any issues with Madley's performance as referee. I suspect a lot of our fans would take issue with him on that score.

Jolly well done.
In terms of predicting our results I am certainly no Panglossian.
