I do not sense any great fustigation against PV, indeed this was the impression I got last night.
Supporters I have been in contact with, and perhaps many others, are pointing fingers at the strength of the squad at his disposal.

I will always actively seek to despair and therefore overdramatise any and all commentary on Palace. I do however agree with this and given the proverbial magic wand would wave over the squad before the manager.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Agreed, this result was wierd. 0-2 after like 4 minutes. Has nothing to do with Viera. Tottenham had not scored the first goal in like 10+ games. We always knew this was the game they would.

There's an off with his head and relegation panic every single time a goal goes in against us. We're hardly battling for the top spot, but neither are we as dire as people seem to make out sometime. They're more emotional responses than realistic ones. On top fo that we're very unlikely to find ourselves in the relegation vote.

It is no abuse of the manager, but he has to take it on the chin when his men perform like this.
And for his, put it mildly, strange first 11. Like continue with J. Schlupp along C. Doucoure in midfield, when we all can see that it's not working. Simply because the former Leicester player ain't up to PL level.
Vs. Spurs in 2nd half we were overrun in midfield. And what happens? Vieira removes a midfielder for an attacker.
We all know that our new signing (Doucoure)is one heck of a player, but don't expect him to boss the midfield with no aid. In game after game...
The way our two last losses have panned out, tells me we are far from safe even if Southampton probably already has subscribed for Championship status next season. But two more teams follow the Saints....

Interesting to note Lens ended last season 7th
They are currently 2nd tucked in just behind PSG and ahead of Marseille.

That’s back to back shockers at home, but I don't think Vieria is getting anything terribly wrong when it comes to team selection and tactics. If he was playing the goalie upfront and the striker at right-back then fair enough, but otherwise these things are (firstly) a matter of opinion -and opinions are a bit like arseholes, we've all got one- and (secondly) a far smaller part of any particular result than modern football likes to accept.

English football clubs have moved away from Managers whose work should be judged in the long term, to Coaches, who have a ‘Philosophy’. This may variously involve playing with a high line, or a deep block, or a false nine, or maybe even one of the players laying down behind the defensive wall at free kicks, but either way, tactics and team selections seem to have gone from being a method of trying to achieve medium-to-long term targets to being the decisive factor in specific results. Once, it was only ever players that were held responsible for their performances on a match-by-match basis, whilst the manager was assessed over the long term. Now Liverpool vs Man City is somehow Klopp's tactics played out against Guardiolas, the players simply chess pieces.

This seems to suit the clubs (who preach about stability but actually want a ‘panic’ button to press if relegation looms), the players (who take less and less responsibility for their clubs fortunes with every passing year), the ‘Coaches’ themselves (who get work on the basis that they can and will offer an instant fix), and of course the fans (who now need someone to blame, not for the medium to long term fate of their club, but for each and every bad result).

It wasn’t Vieria who gave the ball away for the second goal, and then stood there watching Kane in oceans of space. Clyne and Anderson getting turned inside out like a pair of socks for the third goal has nothing to do with tactics. Should it really be up to the coaching staff to tell Anderson and Guehi not to get lost under a high ball as they both managed to do for the fourth goal? In what set of tactics is that anything other than simply awful play from them?

As for criticisms that the club is unlikely to spend big this January, I can only advise typing the following into a search engine: ‘CPFC Published Accounts’, ‘FFP’, ‘Reality’.

He needs to learn to change things when they don't work and to react early and not when it is too late.
Bring the centre forward on when we are 0-4 down is pointless - should have started with one or changed it at 0-2.
His team selections are baffling to me but what do I know.
He won't be given long in my opinion - sad , but a sign of the times and the need to stay up.

He brought mateta on after the second goal and changed it straight away! We let in two quick goals at the start of the restart! We played brilliantly first half and no reason to change it at the break!

Maybe we should buy his replacement in the Lens team and play them both. We are too lightweight with Eze, Schlup and Olise. I would use Eze/Olise as an impact sub and play Hughes in there in the absence of a better alternative

Vieira's big challenge is upcoming - to motivate the players and be tactically astute to avoid any further trouncings with the squad he has at his disposal. Is he capable? The next few games should tell us.

I think we need to look at that last transfer window, PV didn’t get the backing we needed. That transfer window and this one will come back to haunt us. I can’t blame PV for the team we have….
