What sad news.
A wonderful player and a lovely gentleman.
May his soul rest in peace.
Condolences to all his family and friends.

Gutted to hear about this sad news.

Some of my earliest football memories are watching that pre-Abramovich Chelsea team that he played for as well as managed. They played some wonderful football and won a fair few trophies (anyone remember that game in a blizzard vs Tromso?!).

Whenever I saw him interviewed or on the telly as a pundit he also came across as a lovely chap with loads of insight on the game.

Will be hugely missed.

A proper Chelsea legend both as player and latterly as a manager.

All that before Roman turned the place into a swamp.

He always seemed a good bloke. He wrote a pretty good book about 15 years ago comparing English and Italian football.
RIP.

When you think of all those players from other teams over the years who you hate, vialli was a player you just could not dislike, came across as such a nice bloke and obviously a damn good player.

We also have him to thank for persuading Atlillio Lombardo to come to London

RIP

Really nice fella. Sat directly in front of him in the Directors Box (Treat from my Dad) at Selhurst Park when Chelsea played Palace in a pre season friendly a good few years ago. Was a gentleman and quite happy to chat to anyone. Got his autograph on my programme.
