You think eze will win the ballon d'or in 3 years, your judgement on how good our players are is terrible. We've got about 5 regular players who wouldn't get into any other team in the prem, viera needs backing with funds and a chance to build his own team

Name those players if you would.

PV has been backed if he gets more money what would be next excuse someone else purchased those players they are not his.

We are not a top team a manager is expected to use players and get most out of them and add in a few for the style they want PV has had those players.

Mateta, ayew, schlupp, ward, guaita. Clyne and Mitchell are borderline, let's be honest Mitchell would only generate interest because of his age and nationality, lb is a position we could quite easily improve. Then we have numerous squad players we would struggle to give away.

A manager needs 3 seasons, unless they're doing a drastically terrible job which viera isn't then you give them the chance to build their own squad.

Exactly and we are 12th with a game in hand of 5 teams in front of us and only 3 points behind Chelsea. Where do you think we should be ? How many points do you think we should be on ?

We should be in the fourth round of the cup with a home tie against Blackpool as that’s what Southampton have got.

I'm asking for some leadership in midfield. Not Roy Keane as manager.

Would Shaun Derry have put up with that s***? Or Jedinak? In days gone past, players with a fraction of the ability of those currently in the side would have done something to increase the collective heart beat, even if it was just Clint Hill booting an opponent. I just feel like there's a lot of shoulder-shrugging and very little examples of anyone taking ownership of the performance.

I agree, there is no leader... milo was way too soft.. and the nonsense of him coming on as a sub and getting the arm band.. what soft nonsense...

the game well be changing, but the desire, spirit and instinct needs to be there...Are we seeing player power where managers are unable to say what they truly feel?

So performances don't matter to you? It's dropped dramatically of late and better performances often yield better results.. Fulham losing 3 nil? Weakened spurs side thumping us 4-0. Today?
We can handle losses. We can't accept heads gone.

That's exactly where we would be, except for Guaita's dreadful misplay of two balls, one of which was the result of Ward's embarrassing whiff on a routine header.

The way Ward ducked under it I wouldn't be surprised if he got a "Leave it" call from a team mate - I wasn't there & couldn't pick one up from the highlights, did anyone at the game hear anything ?

We prioritised bringing the average age of the squad down, we've got a young team, we are a midtable team in the strongest and most competitive league in the world. We will have poor runs and poor performances. Do you think we are going to play like City every week ?

Regulars Guaita,Ward,Clyne,Schlupp, Ayew and Zaha are in their 30s.
Milivojevic who has mostly been on the bench is in his 30s.
Tomkins who played against Fulham is in his mid-30s.
Overall we don't have a youthful squad !

To be fair to Vaibow and other posters - it is not about playing like City every week.
We have our own standards and our performances of late have fallen well below those standards.
Losing I can accept - it is the way that we lose that worries me.
PV was a combative midfield player with fire in his belly - that does not seem to be a directive given to some of our players.
