Worth a shout. Everton after him, would be nice to pip another club first for a change!

Is there any footballer at the moment that Everton isn't 'after'?

He's one constantly linked to other clubs on the cheap. I can't imagine him being cheap, he's one of United's best players, home grown and they don't have great options to replace him. However, they might want money as Butland and Weghourst on loan are not going to satiate the glory hunters. I see him being at least 25mil if not more. If they want to loan him for free (which they don't) I'm sure Dougie would be sniffing around - if he's ever heard of him.

But is a seriously good player. Whilst he's not starting, they don't really have any cover so I cant see them letting him go. 1 injury and he's in the 1st team.

He is exactly the type of player we need: physically imposing, athletic and capable of dominating a midfield. He's perhaps not quite good enough to be a regular starter for a top side, but more than good enough for us. I'm pretty sure United have already said he's not going anywhere though?

It’s honestly laughable that any of you believe that he want to come to us. He may not be 1st choice 11 at United but talk about a lack of self worth to want to drop down to us when he could be challenging for titles and cups. Come on folks. Wise up.

Realistically, we could get Phil Jones for free (on loan/ small fee). He could play the Kouyate role at a push. I know he's not exactly great but would be a squad player we could use. There's another centre back at Utd whose contract will be out soon we could get too - Tuanzebe, interestingly can play right back I believe. Either would be free or cheap or loan with little issue: wouldn't know the wages but I wouldn't think they're mega stars. Average players really but an upgrade on some of our squad.
