Therein lies the “elephant in the boardroom” IMHO..!!

Parish whilst fabulously rich in our terms - just doesn’t have the financial resources to play in todays crazy world of the EPL - where a minimum of £100M investment is required year on year just to keep up/maintain position - let alone “kick on” and progress..!!

Do I agree with it - no I don’t think it’s very sad it’s got to this stage - do I think it’s sustainable equally no - certainly not in its current format.

IMO - FFP got to be stricter - salary and spending caps got to come in - otherwise - we’ll be just playing in a league - where the top 6 are playing their own competition- whilst the rest of us are just also rans just trying to achieve/maintain obscurity - whilst having to invest £100M for the privilege.

Arguably we are already there - so no-one will do a Leicester again..!!

Before anyone says it - I’ve no interest in supporting a City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc.. I’m 56 and been Palace all my life - born down Holmesdale Road into a family of Palace fans that has continued with my own sons.

But I played in and trained football teams in the belief we had a chance to compete - otherwise what’s the point..?? Where’s the incentive..??

Look it’s as simple as this as fan you’ve got to at least be able to “dream” - that’s what inspires us - if that is taken away where’s the fun..??

This is why I believe things have got to change to reinvigorate competition and allow us the “staple diet” as a football fan - the right to dream and believe it could be us..!!

Well said mate, I agree and am getting totally pissed off. I’ve supported Palace for 40 years and would support them whatever league they were in. However we are bottom of the Premier league expenditure table since last summer. Championship teams come up and spend more. The dream was to get to the Premier league but don’t give up and go out on a whimper.

This is the craziest football league in the world now, it taken over from the bulls*** that happens in Spain. How can you have our club who have not spent a single f***ing penny compete with Chelsea who have spent 500 million?

I don’t want us to break the bank and put ourselves in the mire, but I would like to think we can compete with the likes of the Bournemouths of this world in getting a player or two.

We have had 10 years of Premiership football and we have now ground to a standstill. If I was PV and had so little backing I would leave for sure, no question about it. Im Waiting for pelters on this, but deep down you all think the same…..

Oh and I have followed Palace for over 50 years now before anyone wants to give me loyal supporter bollocks!

If we were non-league it would be even better. We could stand and drink. Wouldn't cost much and our Wembley could be the FA Trophy.
