I don't see Asian shopkeepers hanging from lamp posts in Northern England. Why should we particularly seek that kind of punishment for Glitter ?

Hello Hello, I'm Back (in prison) Again.

If reports are correct, this guy is an incurable paedophile who clearly believes that he is above moral judgement.

Sad that a guy who entertained us in the seventies and had some great songs turned out to be such a nutcase.

At 79, I'm sure his recall to prison is more about appearances than risk to the public, but it's probably better for all parties if he is safely behind bars.

His legacy will be his gift to rhyming slang, as in posh spice takes it up the Gary. There must be other pop stars who have enhanced the lexicon in this way, Tony Renis (Quando Quando Quando) for one, Covid could be described as a 'Miley', I can'think of any others though.

Ravi Shankar will be relieved.

how do you separate the dancer from the dance ?

i was enjoying that scene in 'The Joker' when Joaquin Phoenix was dancing on the steps, with the cops chasing him.

And suddenly it dawned on me who music was.

I won't stop liking the tunes, just like Phil Spector, Michael Jackson, allegedly, or any other artist who had a dark side.

It makes no sense to do so. Music is not about moral judgement, but I don't expect I'm The Leader Of The Gang to be played at kids parties.

Not sure 'Do you wanna touch,' is on reflection going to stand the test of time.

It's a shame as that is a great record.

The problem is that many of his songs, when seen with hindsight, do rather suggest a clue to the man ultimately revealed.

I suppose, a lot of songs from that era are also rather questionable by today's more puritanical times.

the same as the BBC's Jimmy Savile. A monster hiding in plain sight. And bragging on telly about his escapades.
