I think PV he’s been found out tactically, there is one thing managing in a laid back, I couldn’t give a s*** French league to a full on high intensity Premier league.

The Brighton manager had him on toast for 90 minutes, I can’t believe we got a point at the end. Then his post match interview was bizarre, how can he say “ we were solid and defended well against a good Brighton team”

When the post match interview should have been “ we were run ragged for 94 minutes and some how we stole a point against a team who we normally have the better of time and again”

Which would also be disingenuous.

Tompkins, also known as 'Tonks', bestrode the match like a colossus.

Surging forward in the 69th minute, he raced into the Albion box and planted a bullet header past the demoralised defenders into the gaping empty net.

With typical modesty reminiscent of Sir Bobby Moore deceased he just said he thought it was what the Selhurst Park faithful wanted.

And he doesn't even have a VPN.

Remarkable.

COYP.

Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton denied victories by VAR.

The West Ham one stands out, where the spam defender tipped a goal-bound ball expertly round the post.

However somehow that was 'not handball'!

To my mind the Brighton scorer was not offside but their player in front of him to the left was, when the ball was last kicked.

But it's all become totally bonkers.

Scrap VAR completely and change handball to be deliberate and offside to be a player completely in front of the last defender when the ball last kicked.

Just a thought.

Ridiculous.

Just put people in charge who know how to use it properly.

This was typical of our recent play and we were so lucky to get a point thanks to the VAR decision and a goalkeeping howler which was no doubt probably induced by a lack of concentration having had nothing to do until that point.
The most disappointing thing from the game for me was that having been gifted an equaliser and having subs ready to come on to try and change the game before we equalised, how poor we were in the final 15 - 20 minutes and how little we created.
If we sack Viera can we at least line up a decent replacement before doing so?
Over the last few weeks from the matches i have seen we are currently the worst team in the division.

Will there be a queue of people wanting to manage Crystal Parish?

That comes up time and time again.

I genuinely thought it was some sort of 'in' nickname for a long time but every now and then it still makes me question my reality... more so than usual.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I cannot understand PV in his post match interviews when he says our discipline enabled us to get a point (instead of VAR). What he should have said is that we were awful 25% possession, shots on target 1 (Brighton 7), total passes 229(BHA 695),passing success 71% (BHA 90%). both our L&R backs only made one tackle between them during the whole match and as usual sleepy and error prone Mitchell gets caught out every time at the back post which usually costs us a goal as it did again on Saturday.

We are in trouble despite our mid table position (12th) as we are just 7 points above 18th and have a plus two goal difference margin of over the team currently in 18th spot. We have managed just 3 from 15 points in our last five games and the bottom of the table is coming up to our level fast.

It's hard to see where the points are going to come from, between now and 1st April:- (away, Brentford, Aston Villa, BHA, Arsenal & home, Liverpool, Man City, Leicester). Especially so, when you take in to consideration our poor defending, passing and our inability to score goals.

I really do not blame PV for the current poor form as he did make it clear in the summer what he wanted and again in this past window. clearly what he has got, he seems not to be unhappy with as he shows a reluctance to give them a start. Those clubs around us have strengthened, leaving PV to virtually get on with what he has available ( recurring theme at Palace). If we do get relegated this year (and I really hope not!), then the balme sits squarely with Parish, it really is time for him to step aside, thank him for his past endeavours but at the same time acknowledge that he has reached his level of incompetence.

Under Steve's 'Watch' we have reached an FA Cup final and this is our 10th season in the PL.
A club which almost went out of existence prior to his arrival.

I am not sure I would place too much significance to post-match interviews.

In public, most managers put some gloss on their team's performance even when it has been poor, or are at least very mildly critical in their comments, for fear of alienating themselves from the players.

In public loyalty to the team comes first but it doesn't mean that behind the scenes the manager is saying the same thing - or at least one hopes not.
